IR110-114 LED Indoor/Outdoor Long Range 200-300ft IR Illuminator with Free 2A 12VDC Adaptor

I purchased this IR floodlight to increase the range of my Nest Outdoor Cam. I think the photos attached to this comment speak for themselves, but I will say I am totally impressed.--PROS--- Very solid, professional-level build quality- Easy to mount; comes with mounting hardware- Very bright- On/off is automatic and based on light levels. When the sun goes down, this comes on. It doesn't seem to be fooled by flashlights.- Comes with the appropriate power cord- Very solid multi-position mounting angle arm- Is silent; perfect next to a camera with a microphone- Incredibly affordable around the $50 mark. Well worth the $ in my opinion.- Incredibly long range- Increases the facial detection of my Nest Outdoor Cam tenfold.--CONS--- The cord is relatevly short- Not easy to mount directly in a corner (but what is?)I highly doubt you'd regret buying this IR floodlight. Compared to other offerings here on Amazon, this light already has great reviews. It's a no-brainer, and a total find in my opinion. Don't pay $1000+ for IR lights that many home security companies suggest! Total rip offs! Get this instead.

PROS: Lights up the area 30 x 20 ft, VERY WELL.White in color - blends in with the beige house better than black or silver would.Cons: The power cord (not pictured) is about 6.5 feet long and has a giant (2"x4"x1") adapter (like my video camera) in the middle of the cord. The light has a standard hookup for DC power, so you could probably plug in a different "DC to AC power cord" to the light's connector, but the cord it comes with has the adapter in the middle. I was expecting a "wall wart" type adapter at one end.THE LIGHT WORKS GREAT!!! I was trying to light up my back patio/pool area so I could use my Archerfish SOLO security camera at night without shining bright lights outside my daughter's bedroom window. This did the trick perfectly!I originally purchased the $7.99 48-Led Light. As expected, the cheaper light only lit about 10 feet, and a very dim light at that, I could only see outlines with the cheaper light. This light, however, (114 high powered LEDs) lights up the area extremely well, and the light distribution is very even and well balanced.The best feature is that the light is so bright that my Archerfish SOLO sends me an email when a person walks by any area of the patio, just as I set it to do. Love it!I am very happy with the light's performance and that it turns off with daylight. The light turns off about 7am and on about 7pm. Which is within an hour of sunrise and sunset here. Nice transition to daylight, great overlap, I can always see everything through my security camera's view clearly.The size is a little on the large side for what I wanted, but it really puts out some great light. I would rather have it big and work great. And now that it's installed I hardly notice it's there, even though it's in plain view. Probably a bit of overkill for my application, but I wanted to make sure my motion sensor goes off even at night, and it does.Highly recommended.

I have been playing with this IR illuminator on my property and its worth every bit of the $65 price tag but just like most IR illuminators the range is over-stated by a pretty good margin. For USEFUL illumination figure this is good out to 125 to 150 feet at best. Honestly that is what I was hoping for when I bought this unit as a test. I'm going to be trying some other units so I don't know if I will buy more of these or not, but I'm pretty happy with the value to performance from this IR illuminator. I have 2 IR-cameras looking over my drive and front door area and this IR illuminator was useful for lighting up the far reaches of those cameras along my woods. The distance is roughly 125' and while that is too far to identify anyone it is clearly was able to show movement along the tree line. At the swimming pool my pool shed is roughly 55' from the far fence line and I was able to totally light up that far line with this illuminator filling in the dark areas with IR light. Another fence is a bit over 100' from that same camera and when the IR illuminator was aimed that direction he results were less impressive but there was very little behind that fence to reflect the IR light so the camera had a much harder time 'seeing' the trees/bushes along that fence line.Can I recommend this illuminator? Yes. Its good. And the price is right. $65 may not seem like a bargain but most IR illuminators are cheaply made and this one is well made. The housing appears to be rugged cast aluminum with a nicely painted (nearly automotive quality) finish. The mount is substantial and allows for a wide degree of adjustment and has hex screws to lock it firmly into place. It comes with mounting screws and everything you need. If you are looking to illuminate a modestly wide area out to about 125 to maybe 150' then this MIGHT be your IR illuminator. If your needs are for shorter distances then this will be a very good choice for you, it really lights up the fringes were the camera's IR lights are lacking and extends the night time usefulness of your camera. I'd recommend this IR Illuminator without any reservations to anyone who wants to light up an area out to 100'. Over 100' then you may need to go to a longer range IR Illuminator; you may find this useful if you have objects to reflect the IR light back to your cameras, but its probably a gamble to use this in areas where you want to see over 150'.> === EDIT === EDIT === EDIT ===>> I've now purchased 2 more of these IR Illuminators.>> These are well made, and well priced. The bang for the buck factor is very high especially considering the quality of the construction of these units. If you need a weatherproof IR illuminator for illuminating a yard or parking area this is a good choice. BTW, the box claims its range is 80 meters (roughly 250 feet). The security company salesmen I deal with tell me to cut the "claimed" range by about 50% so as I wrote in my initial review this is probably good out to about 125 and maybe 150 feet.
