Native American Style Basic F Sharp Flute With Flute Bag in Iron Stained Cedar
The Basic F# flute is our largest and lowest key of Basic. In the picture of three flutes together, it is the one on the far right. This key is better suited for people with larger or more flexible hands. People who play other instruments can usually play this key easily. If you have small or inflexible hands, you might be more comfortable with our Basic A or Basic G flutes.
Our Iron Stained Cedar flutes are made from the same western red cedar as our Heartwood cedar flutes, but they have a natural iron stain applied to darken the wood to a nearly black color. The color of the wood may vary form the photos. All of our Basic flutes are made from the highest quality western red cedar. This is a softwood, which means that it is light in weight. Cedar is one of the most popular woods for Native American flutes because it adds a resonant quality to the voice of the flute. Take care to protect your flute from dents by storing it in the polar fleece flute bag.
This is a six hole Native American style flute tuned to 440hz, universal concert tuning. It features a removable block to allow for easy condensation removal and proper drying after playing. It comes with a handmade, black polar fleece flute bag with a durable nylon shoulder strap and a leather drawstring closure.

Choosing the right flute
Pictured you will see our three keys of Basic flute. As flutes move down in pitch they get bigger and the fingering holes get further apart and further down on the flute body. This means the lower flutes are harder to play.
The key of A is our smallest and highest pitched of all three basic flutes, it is also the best choice for someone with smaller hands or someone who has limited flexibility. Many Flute classes will request you start with this key.
The Key of G is the middle sized Basic flute. It is our most popular key because of its soothing voice. Most people can easily play this key.
The key of F# (F sharp) is our lowest key of Basic flute. This means that it is also the hardest to play. The fingering hole stretch on the F# can be uncomfortable for people with smaller hands or people who have never played an instrument before.

The wood is nice but the holes are drilled crooked and the sound quality is not worth spending $176 for. Trying to figure out how much air to push through is not working out with this particular flute.Honestly find a different maker I just might be sending this back for my money Iām not liking as much as I hoped I would.

I truly loved the flute I had purchased. One thing I feel I must say is the case was in no way helpful to my repeated clumsiness. If one takes better care of not dropping it on the cement than I had...it may last longer than mine. I am unsure if it could be repaired, yet the quality leaves me no choice but to consider purchasing again.A truly beautiful instrument.

I am a beginner and this flute seems to be easy to play and well made. I would like to give big thanks to the seller for sending it very fast. I contacted seller and ask for possible fast shipping since we will be gone for two weeks and seller responded fast, very polite and shipped it the same day which i really appreciated. This is the real deal! You can't get an unpleasant sound even if you try. So a beginner can be free from frustration by the inability to create a beautiful sound. I have played flutes of this type for years. This is a keeper!
