The Seagate IronWolf 12TB is a fantastic drive for my NAS! It’s fast, reliable, and built for 24/7 operation. Setup was seamless, and performance has been excellent—quiet, cool, and with great read/write speeds. Perfect for large backups, media storage, and file sharing. The built-in vibration protection is a great bonus for multi-drive setups. Highly recommended for NAS users!

Que dire sur la gamme ironwolf qui n’ai pas été dit ?Produits fiables (même si le 0 panne n’existe pas).J’ai plus de 20 ironwolf qui tournent chez moi dont certains depuis plusieurs années et ce 24/24, allant de 4 à 12 To et je n’ai eu à déplorer qu’un seul disque qui a donné un signe de défaillance (apparition de secteurs défectueux, ce qui ne l’empêché pas de continuer à tourner mais du coup je lui ai attribué des taches peu importantes en terme de nécessité de fiabilité au cas où le nombre de secteurs défectueux augmenterait ou bien s’il venait à tout simplement lâcher).Pour avoir déjà testé le SAV seagate la prise en garantie est efficace, mais coûteuse puisque l’envoi du disque sera à votre charge et leur service SAV n’est pas en France. A réserver doc à dés disque qui ont un certain coût, sinon utilisez plutôt le SAV de votre revendeur tant que c’est possible. Mais encore une fois, le taux de panne que j’ai rencontré est bas, en particulier sur cette gamme ironwolf.Coté performances rien à redire (caché important, vitesse de 7200tr). En contre partie les disques sont un peu plus bruyants que les WD Red par exemple et chauffent un petit peu plus.A signaler qu’avec les NAS Synology (en tous cas les games 2011 / 2013) les ironwolf sont mieux supportés que les WD Red

Had a problem with a new Seagate 12tb NAS drive that ran for 2-3 days is all -- I've had ~ 10 Seagate Ironwolf drives and have never had a problem -- some of the drives are still running after 8.4 years. I love these drives, but there was a problem with this one. I called Scott at ALL4COMPUTERS who took the time to discuss the problem and potential fixes, which didn't work, so he promptly sent me a new one. I was Impressed with his customer service -- thank you, Scott.

THe drive was packed in its plastic coiver and in a jiffy bag - was not therefore suprised when it arrived dead on arrival and wouldnt work in the NAS or any PC - completely dead.

i ordered on Order Placed: August 17, 2021 two hard disk, one worked while other is defected!! my luck was i did insert it in the nas today on 10/1/2022 when i needed new space ! trying to contact the seller no answer till now, even i did purchase 4 hard disk from the same supplier, so im a regular customer!

I like the drive, but it hasn't wowed me. It goes deep at 12TB (!) but it's also very noisy when it reads. I returned the first drive because my operating system could only format it to 4TB, but when the next drive arrived and the same problem occurred I got lucky with tech support and the person at Seagate really took their time with me. The suggestion to put it in my Windows PC first didn't seem like a great idea but I trusted him and it worked out great. I run it through a disk caddy with other drives and it works but it is loud and I don't yet know to love it. I'm going to change my answer from 3 (meh) to 4 stars because of the tech support and because I have 12TB (!).

Received a DOA drive described "Like New". IronWolf drives are bombproof and great performers. Amazon Warehouse Deals is a way to dump defective product back into the marketplace and hope no one tests it before the return window closes.

I added three of these ST12000VN0008 12TB drives to my Synology NAS a few months ago and could not be happier.I purchased them through Server Parts Deal and they contacted me to make sure everything was perfect which it was - packaged excellently with plenty of protection (which is not always the case).The drives honestly could not be working better. They just keep humming along in my NAS providing constant data across my network. In fact, they are working so well I’m considering ordering more now from the same company. I believe in supporting companies that go the extra mile and this company is one that does.My experience with both the drives and Server Parts Deal has been nothing but excellent and I recommend them both 100%.
