One of the bits is floating in the packaging while shipped, and the metal doesn't appear the same as pictured. I can only hope it works the same.

It was quite useless at drilling through masonry! i had other Irwin bits that drilled through masonry/concrete very well but this series simply kept slipping.. only made a dent on the wall. Disappointed.

I bought this set as I needed to secure a safe to the concrete floor. As it was OLD concrete I knew I would need a tough quality masonry drill bit so I bought these bits.Rubbish is the word that springs to mind. The 3/8 th inch would hardly touch the concrete.I had to start using a 1/8th to make a pilot hole and then up sizing by an 1/8th each pass until I was able to get the size I wanted 3/8th.So much for tungsten carbide. Why are these bits so bad? Well checking on the drill bit shank there was the kiss of crap. Made in CHINA!!! And what is worse they weren’t cheap. I can buy the same junk in the dollar store for a dollar. !

While drilling into concrete the bit broke. I guess it was the wrong bit.

These are very cheap quality. I drilled one hole 1" deep and the drill bit is completely ruined.

Irwin sells pretty decent bits and I like the cases they come in. Masonry bits get burned up fast so it will be nice to have a case I can keep reloading as needed. I've had an Irwin case full of spade bits in my tool bucket for over a decade now and still going strong.

What can you say about drill bits that work just fine?Diameters are 3/16 in, 1/4 in, 5/16 in, 3/8 in, 1/2 inches which have suited us well in all facets of home repairs. They are Carbide-Tipped and arrive in a plastic case. They do the job.

Shipped fast, bits did the job well. No complains. Quality materials and a reasonable price. Case is handy and had all the sizes we needed for drilling into brick.
