This handy little tools works well for me when I need to sew a "deeper" seam than those on the face plate. My blankets often have a 1" or 3" top stitched border. For the 3", I flip the tool around, and use tape to cover the screws. This allows the fabric to float over better...not perfect, but doable

I was delighted to attach this seam guide on my Janome 8077 sewing machine. It is a perfect fit. It pays to purchase feet that fit and are made out of sturdy materials...this seam guide is metal. I can adjust it to as wide as 1 3/4" from the edge. Just as easy, I can adjust it down to as narrow as 1/8" from the edge. Saves and eyes and makes for very easy top stitching.

The Seam Gauge is the easiest way to sew Jelly Roll Strips (or any material) with a uniform seam. The gauge is easy to install. Once your material is placed next to the gauge, lower your machine foot and needle, then guide the material. I didn't even need any pins for the Jelly Roll strips and the seams were uniform at a high speed. I am a perfectionist about sewing and I was very happy with the result.
