As like others, I had to buy an adaptor for the air fitting. Also, the hose isn't long enough to get to the bottom of the oil pan in some applications. I bought some 5/16in PEX (LLDPE) hose from an online vender, to make a longer hose. Otherwise my experience has been good with this extractor.

I like that the oil could be removed without having to go under the car, I didn’t like that the fitting for the air connection was a European thread and I couldn’t find a compatible replacement

Bought this for my boat and was extremely impressed at how it made relatively short work of changing the oil. Well worth the money and highly recommend this product.

Does a great job of extracting oil, especially from power equipment with hard to reach or non existent drain plugs. I’ve also used it to change oil on my Honda Crosstour. I can change the oil without crawling under the car. It’s also useful for changing transmission fluid.

I mean what can I say. You put air to it and it sucks. I used it to make my jetski oil changes a breeze. So far its also helped me change my power steering pump without making a huge mess. I love it.

I was looking forward to using this new fluid extractor in the shop but was disappointed to discover that the threaded (female) inlet for the shut off valve used 1/4" BSPT (British Standard Pipe Taper) thread instead of the commonly used 1/4" NPT thread.I searched around the internet to see if there was a readily available converter bushing (1/4 BSPT male to 1/4 NPT) with no success.Looks like John Dow failed to consider the US market when they selected the shut off valve specifications.I will be returning for a refundUpdated 7/3/21: I have included an additional photo showing the build specifications of this fluid extractor. The specification shows that the air inlet valve assembly as 1/4"NPT, unlike the one which I received which was 1/4" BSPT. I suspect that this extractor is being made for John Dow Industries off shore and they failed to install the specified NPT inlet valve assembly typically used in the USA

I own a small engine and auto repair shop. I bought one of these for my small engine (mower) shop to replace a broken Mity-vac unit. My techs really liked this unit for several reasons, one of which was that it was easier to hook up to air (top instead of bottom) and that it seemed to have more power. When my auto guys used it, they immediately asked for one of their own. So I've purchase two of these now. The one thing I'd like to see, but haven't been able to find, is a brake bleeder kit. They can still use this for that, but it would be much easier if I could get one for this unit instead of having to modify the Mity-vac bleeder kit to fit this unit.We have yet to see how long they last, the first is 10 months old now with zero issues.ONE MAJOR THING, it comes with an air adapter that really nobody uses. We use type A connectors so we had purchase the correct adapter for it to connect to our air couplers. Not a big deal, but be aware of the counter type you use. It would be worth them charging a few more dollars to include a common air adapter kit with it.
