The phosphorescence is very short lived. Even using my UV flashlight to charge them they were only visible for about ten minutes after. I have included a photo of the mangled hands from the first shipment and a photo of them on a layered art deco dial I made with my laser cutter. These hands are thin aluminum and therefore delicate. They are easily bent and once bent they are hard to straighten, and the glow material may chip and peel. I will say hey are nice looking, but don't expect them to glow for very long - at least mine didn't. Handle with care.

A generous number of sets for a reasonable price, these glowing clock hands are a great purchase. Just a couple of minutes of sunlight will charge them up enough to noticeably glow even in the presence of ambient light.If you are into making clocks and looking for glowing hand sets, these are a good deal. If I knew someone with a Geiger counter, I'd certainly take a reading and add it to this review.
