The sellers claims the infrared illuminator provides IP65 waterproof and dust proof protection and ... weatherproof aluminum housing for both indoor or outdoor use. HOWEVER, this unit is NOT waterproof and NOT for outdoors.

I had a camera lose it's IR illumination and rather than replace the camera I figured I would try one of these.It doesn't come with a power supply but I have enough laying around from old dead cameras that it wasn't a problem.It's more of a spotlight pattern than a flood light, so there is a bright spot in the middle of the barn where it's being used but it still puts out WAY more light than the built-in illumination in the camera.Time will tell if it lasts, but so far it's doing exactly what's required.

This is a nice IR light that is 12 volts dc that allows for flexible applications. This is a small size yet provides ample lighting for short distances. Good for adding extra lighting for security cameras.

Light works fine, illuminates a good area, 30-40' on my IR cameras. Good enough for a small yard or a garage.Power cord could be longer. Power supply is not included.

Light is built sturdy. Angle adjustment holds. Cord is sealed in back. But, threaded clear cover has no O-ring between it and main body. No power draw during daylight when it automatically turns off.Light output was good. Power draw was 3.6W (0.3A). Somewhat narrow beam, not a general fill. Beam is around 60 degrees spread. Brighter than typical security camera IR illumination.

See the photos of the camera with no it lights on and the with this IR light mounted on the garage just off the frame to the right - huuuuge help!I got this as where my camera is mounted, it's very close to wall and eve and creates a large refection haze over the camera at night so, I turned off the cameras internal ir lights and used this IR floodlight instead and it's perfect!12v at just under .4 ampHas auto daylight sensor in the IR flood light so turns off during the day.

total con job bought two, one did not even glow, the other glowed but did not light up,looked like a lit cigarette in the dark at 20 yards. not even one star.
