This IR illuminator works excellent at night. What I couldn't see before with my security cameras I can see at night as if it's broad daylight. They provide a huge range enhancement (100+ feet) to my security cameras nighttime visibility. The unit has a weatherproof design and is made out of metal. It also includes a mounting bracket that allows you to rotate the light to your desired FOV. The unit is powered by an AC adapter that needs to be plugged in and the included instructions are excellent. Great IR illuminator - 5/5 stars

This unit worked great at illuminating my backyard for my Ring cameras. My only issue is with the 90 degree field of view. I wasn’t able to light enough of my back yard close to my house for my liking. It was also challenging to put the indoor rated power transformer into an outdoor rated environment. The unit feels very durable and I feel that it’s a good bang for the buck. All in all, you’ll be happy you made the purchase. I know we are.

My security cameras do not light up a big enough area with their built-in IR illuminator LEDs, so I ordered this IR illuminator to try to light up a bigger area for my security cameras to see in my back yard. When it arrived, and I was looking it over, I was impressed with how heavy duty it is and how well it was made. This is a nice high quality unit. After installing it and turning it on, it really lights up a very large area and at a very long range, well over 200 feet. It's actually like having an area in a spotlight, without having visible light to blind you, your family or guests. It does show itself and its 20 LEDs in the dark. When looking at it directly, you can tell it is there, so keep that in mind when you are deciding on where to install it if you don't want people to see it. When looking directly at it, the LEDs are red but when looking at them through a camera, the LEDs look purple (see image).Overall, this is a really nice IR illuminator at a great price, given its high quality and area coverage. If you want to illuminate an area for your security cameras, then you need one of these.

I super love this IR light. I can't believe how much of my yard is lit up even more with this light. At first I thought this thing was going to be a joke but it seems to be built very heavy duty and is weatherproof and it brings tons more light. It almost lights up my whole entire acre of land on the side of my house and in front of my pole barn. I did some major testing with this thing with it on and off and angled at different lights and I can extremely light up one small area or if I tilt it up just a little bit it spreads it out over almost the whole entire acre with me being able to see almost the corners of my land with just a smidge of an upgrade versus having it angled in one shorter front spot. To be honest though I already have tons of light where the middle portion is so I actually use this to light up the outer edges so I can see almost two times as much when it gets real dark out in the middle of the night. Overall I think this thing is super 100% worth of money and I'm definitely going to be getting more. I think one or two more of these and I can light up every single angle of the house extremely to the top. Overall I highly recommend it

At night time, even with their IR lights on my cameras turn people into spooky pixelated ghosts ghosts and fail to accurately show or detect people moving fast. People could sneak up my driveway before I'd get an alert. This fixed that problem. Wide angle, "bright" IR beams make it easy for my cameras to pick up people from far away. Previously it would just be a blurry mess of pixels, now faces are clearly identifiable when illuminated 30 to 50 feet away. Drastically improved night time security. Because of the wide angle and distance, only one (or two) is needed per area.Cord length is short, you'll need an extension most likely. One caveat (or plus) is it does emit a bit of dim red light. Bad if you're trying to be covert, but also might scare anyone trying to be sneaky.

My security camera has built in IR but it is so weak, you can barely see twenty feet away. This IR illuminator changes that and lights up most of my yard and driveway without to much warning to anyone that might be prowling around.First image is how bright it is to the camera. The second image is what you see with the naked eye when you look at the light and the third image is what it looks like with the naked eye when you are looking at the cars.If you tuck this up under an eve so it is not noticeable, you will probably light up a very large area for your security cameras without anyone knowing it is there. The casing seems sturdy and well constructed but I have no experience with other brands to be able to compare it to.I'm happy with it.

For outdoor use, I usually supplement in-camera IR lighting with IR LED floodlights like this one - to provide "invisible" lighting of large spaces.I used this 20 LED model to replace a 6 LED model. It is important to know that regular glass blocks most IR light so these must be mounted without intervening glass. The first picture is with camera-only IR light. The windows are lit from within with visible light. The second picture is with this flood illuminator turned on to illuminate the distant area.I really like the feature that automatically turns it on and off based on ambient light intensity. The heat sink gets mildly warm when it is turned on.

I went with 4 stars since it's average. This one is better than their other 15 watt version, this one is brighter.I have other UV lights that are better designed and tougher.Pros:Fairly well sealed and durable.850nm output works with many security camsCons:- no settings or options. No on-off switch.- not as bright as others I have of similar powerIt should work but your camera has to be able to see IR light around 850nm. Many can do that
