This thing is 100% thick AF durable rubber. My kids and even me have abused the life out of this thing and it's still hardly any wear and tear. It'll probably be just fine for grandkids one day.Pro tip, when you put the holder into the base, really put your weight on it and wiggle it around to get fully in so there's no gap between it and the ground. I've seen people put clamps and screws/nails to hold the "pipe" part into the base but I guarantee you they just aren't getting it all the way in. With it fully into the base, I think you'd need a sledge hammer hitting it right at the base to detach it.

Great T for my 14 year old middle school player very heavy duty adjust for height very easy !! There are some on her saying the shaft comes loose from the base haven't had that problem tg here is a lip on the bottom of the shaft that expands out into a grove on the bottom of the base a little hard to shove it through but once assembled no problem it's there to stay !! great product if I ever need another I would buy again !!

This product is perfect for tee ball! We have 3 kids ranging in age from 3-6, two girls and one boy. The base plate is very durable and heavy enough to support the post from hard impacts. The post is rugged enough to sustain repeated blows from aluminum bats and releases from the base plate without injuring the players. We love it and it provides hours of beneficial fun.

This JUGS tee is very good, but not perfect. Over the past six or seven years, I have been a coach and volunteer in my town little league with my three boys. These are the tees that the organization uses for training and for tee ball and when it came time to buy my own I stuck with this known commodity since the league has had these tees for years and I have seen how they hold up. The organization has used several different tees and these are the best for rugged durability, ease of setting the ball and accommodation for all sizes/ability levels. The plate portion is nicely weighted and allows for the tee to stay in place after repeated hits, the stand is heavy duty and adjusts to work on all sized batters with a fairly simple twisting motion and its hard rubber holds up to the repeated bashing it gets from non-perfect swings. The only downside (which is also kind of an upside when it comes to storage and transport) is that the stand only fits snug into the home plate base and the stand detaches or lays crooked from time to time after repeated use. This requires only a small adjustment to fix between swings, but when you are looking for repetition it can be a bit of a momentum breaker. Overall though, this tee works great, is durable and well worth the money.

I FIXED MINE SO THE POST DOES NOT COME OFF WHEN HITTING. Like other reviews, the post kept coming off when my 9 yr old Grandson was batting. I placed a clamp around the bottom of base where the post fits into base. It does not come off now and does not seem to be doing any damage to TEE. For the price we LOVE This TEE.

After playing baseball my whole life, I was looking to see if my kids were interested. They are young so I bought them this tee to play with. They go out and play with it from time to time in the back yard. I am glad to see that they haven't lost interest am am going to go ahead and sign them up for tee ball.Product is good, heavy duty quality. Price is good. Not that we do it much, but I also like that you can unscrew it on the bottom and throw it in the trunk. Would be a huge bonus for a coach with a small car (which maybe be me soon)!

While the majority of the product is very well constructed, I was extremely disappointed that it fell over completely broken after 3 hits from my 4yr old. (for reference, she hit 1/2 of the ball the first time, but the 2nd two times it was all Tee).It was particularly embarrassing because I had invited some people over, and made a big deal of giving this present to my daughter, and all the kids were lining up for their turn, and then the thing just falls over like a dead puppy.I think the problem is that they did not put a long enough bead on the weld. The construction is basically a metal pipe, and inside of it is a metal disk about the dimensions of a hockey puck. That disk has a hole and threads through it, for the bolt to catch and hold the whole thing together. The disk was held in place by 3 tiny welds, which did not hold. When the pole tipped over, the disk and bolt stayed in place on the bottom, and I could see that there was a good deal of rust along its edge, and inside the pipe.I tried putting it all back together, and jamming the 'puck' back into the pipe, hopping that if the kids didn't hit the pole, it would work ok, but that didn't work at all as the weld points are a critical component (and why I feel that they need to be much bigger or secured in some other way)If you have one of these, I'd be curious if it is also held in place by 3 small (1/4inch) welds or if there is more of a bead there. If it turns out that the weld size is the same for everyone, and no one has had one of these things break, then maybe this one got rusty somehow, or something caused the welds to not hold.I didn't over-tighten it, it was snug but not digging in.I've never felt so ripped off before, this really sucks.[UPDATE]After posting my experiences here on amazon, the company reached out to me to investigate the issue, and fix the problem. I was very impressed with their professionalism and that they wanted to solve the problem quickly (so my kids didn't miss out on some good swinging practice). They offered to send me the '3-in-1 Hitting Tee' which is a similar Tee, but also comes with a dvd and includes a small ball and holder. It seems to be the same basic Tee, and the construction is the same regarding the weld size. (it probably is the exact same tee base, but maybe different at the top, for the small ball holder.Ironically this replacement arrived just in time for a huge graduation party at our house, and I was concerned that it was gonna flop over like the first one, but I'm happy to report that its held up strong, and everyone liked it (and the challenge of hitting the small ball). When I bought the original tee, it was 19dlrs, now I see the price is up to 29dlrs. maybe its a seasonal thing.I changed my rating from 1 star to 3stars, as I am now concluding that the original Tee I got suffered from a fluke in manufacturing (either the weld wasn't complete, some rust weakened the weld, or some extreme temperature affected it), and I basically got a 'lemon'. (though I do feel a little uneasy about changing my rating on one product, based on the quality of a different, higher-priced product)Hopefully other people will add their ratings, and my experience, if abnormal, will get averaged out.
