About this item

  • KAISH push-back vintage style hook up wire with a waxed cotton outer braid and celanese inner braid for additional protection against corrosion, used for wiring guitar electronics, pickups and switches; No need to strip wiring just cut and pull back
  • Push-back means the wire doesn't need to be stripped, its insulation can just be pushed back a little to expose the bare wire for soldering, and the push-back cloth insulation leaves no exposed wire. Of course, it may be stripped if desired
  • Looks very tidy and professional inside a instrument when the job is done because it is easily bent and shaped, stay exactly like you want
  • 7-strand and wire is pre-tinned, ensuring that you get a great connection and great transmission
  • White, black, and yellow wires offer ample options for customization and wiring upgrades. White is hot, black ground, yellow is used for the middle pickup on 3 pickup single coils

I have several electric guitars some of which are older. I try to do my own maintenance and repairs whenever possible. This includes fixing wiring issues or making some upgrades. These wires match the more traditional cloth wrapped wires found in older guitars. Having the wire tinned makes for easier soldering and adds to the corrosion protection.

I'm usually a silicone coated wire guy, but sometimes I like to change things up. This is fully pre-tinned, which makes it a more streamlined process. I enjoy the process of tinning wires, but I can't deny this speeds things up. The cloth coating starts off stiff, but it loosens up once it's pulled. Afterwards, it slides nice and smooth as expected from this kind of wire.
