The ClickSafe design is super convenient. The combination only needs to be entered when removing the lock. It simply clicks/snaps on to connect the lock regardless of the setting of the combination. One caveat, this traditional T-Bar lock does not work on the HP Envy laptops due to that laptop's curved side which prevents the click-on cable end from seating sufficiently to connect.HOWEVER, wanting to buy another, Amazon's (probably a contract vendor) shipped the same incorrect lock twice in a row -- a plain (not ClickSafe) combination lock, and the wrong size from the one I ordered (it won't fit the security slot).

This item is clearly described as fitting a Nano slot (6x2.5 mm), and the website photo shows a Nano-sized slot tip (the little round thing). However, the slot tip I that received is DIFFERENT from the Nano slot tip that's shown in the photo; the one I got is a 7x3mm Kensington slot tip, and definitely does not fit into a Nano slot.

This works with the current Nano Kensington slot on thin laptops. The only thing with this lock is that the little lock head piece that goes into your laptop may need a little thicker rubber washer (same size as the current washer they give you, just a litter thicker). This is due to that lock head piece may end up moving around a little on your laptop without a little thicker rubber washer. You can get the thicker rubber washer from $1 to $4 at most at your local hardware store.Very important note:Because Kensington locks are so confusing it is too easy to get the wrong lock.Which is why I did not like that the merchants on Amazon that has this lock for sell does not allow you to do a free return with full refund. This is the type of item that is so easily mistaken to purchase, due to that the Kensington locks are so confusing.I encourage merchants to allow free returns with full refund on such confusing items like Kensington locks.Thankfully this Kensington lock works with my thin laptop. So, this Kensington lock is a keeper.Very important:Yet this was not a comfortable shopping experience, due to not being able to do a free return with full refund if this lock did not fit correctly on my laptop.PS:The reason I did not go for the key version of Kensington lock is because if I lost the two keys, then the lock may end up permanently stuck on my laptop. With combination version of Kensington lock you can save your custom combination in a safe place, like on Kensington "Register & Retrieve" website (that they have for you to retrieve your custom combination for your lock). That way you will always be able to use the Kensington lock without worry about the lock being permanently stuck on your laptop.
