They did what I needed but can definitely tell they are low quality bits. They cut like a dull bit. Cutting through MDF was still slow. Cutting through harder woods like maple had lots of smoke and burning

This is a great value for the money. They can be used to route a channel through wood. Another practical use is to drill a hole in a plaque or something else you wish to hang up with a Forstner bit. Use the same diameter keyhole bit to the depth of the drilled hole. Back it out slightly, turn on the router, move it toward the top of the plaque about 1/4". Stop the router and remove it.

I needed to find a way to improvise and make a keyhole slot to mount a custom window covering inside the window box. I didn't know what size I would end out needing so an inexpensive set of keyhole bits of various sizes was the way to go. I took the risk that these would be of sufficient quality to cut clean slots. I have used inexpensive bits in the past and have learned to test new bits before using them in any production job.So I set out to test these bits on some scraps pieces of wood. I was completely pleased with the performance of these bits. The cut clean and fast without burning the wood, creating smoke, or creating burrs along the slots.I can completely support using these keyhole bits on any job that warrants using them. I have used these a few times mostly hardwood. They have stood up to the hardwood without issues. Very happy I bought these. A must have for a woodworker who like pieces on the wall

Bought this set mainly for the 1/2 bit. First day using to cut 1" long slots. The bit shattered on the 10th slot. The wood was Ash so not an extremely dense wood.
