Weak cast chinesium. I got one good part out of it, started slipping on the second which resulted in a failed part when it moved and shatter the endmill. Third attempt, stock slipped, i tightened, righty tighty became righty loosey. It broke clean through.The dilemma is roll the dice on a more expensive chinesium or spend an absurd amount on a proper professional vise.

Great vise. Works well.Be aware the jaws are about 1" tall so this is a small clamping area.Also- its incredibly hard to tell scale from the pics as 3", 4", 5" and 6" all have the same proportions and no banana for scale. See my pic of 3" next to 4" for a size reference.

After I stripped the vise down to clean and removed all the sharp edges, it has been great. Now I would like to have a speed handle.

This vise is a beast. It's heavy, and it is heavy duty. It will do a good job of clamping and keeping what it clamps, on the table where it is located. This is not what you would consider as portable. Solidly built, I expect it to last many decades.
