I've never used one of these vacuum food sealers before, but thought I'd try it. This year we're going to have a big garden, and I think this will be perfect for preparing food items for the freezer. I tried it out today, and it's so easy and fun to use. The machine comes with 15 bags, and I used 10 of them today. I can't find this brand online, but I'm sure you can get generics that will work just fine, I love it!!!

This vacuum sealer is great! It’s really easy to use and comes with everything you need to immediately start. It doesn’t take up much space on the counter and stores away easy. I’m not sure if we didn’t seal it enough but there was some chicken we sealed and then froze and when we defrosted it just by letting it get to room temperature it was leaking chicken juice a bit. That might have been user error though.

It’s a bit fiddly to get it to work, however, the “Seal Only” function, saves the day.The only issue I had was with the cutting slider - that’s the bit that doesn’t always work on the first. It is fairly easy to use once you get used to it and perhaps with more use I’ll like it more..

I have had a food saver for about 10 years now and while it works great 90% of the time, I hate that it doesn't have a manual function and won't run if it thinks it's dirty. I thought maybe this vacuum sealer would be a good replacement since it doesn't have one of those dumb sensors but alas, it let me down. When trying to use Food Saver branded bag rolls, it took 2-3 tries to seal a bag and even then, it was not well done. Even with the included bags, it sometimes took 2 tries and the seals would still pop open or leak after put into a water bath or frozen. I also had a hard time getting it to line up just right to actually vacuum the bag. Overall, this was even more hassle than my other vacuum sealer and I immediately boxed it up and put it in a donate pile.

I recently bought the Vacuum Sealer for Food, and it’s been a game changer for keeping my food fresh. Awesome little vacuum sealer. I like the attachment feature also. The cutting slider on top is a little tricky to use, but can be done. Doesn't seal as well as our previous sealer that was also about half the price. Overall it is a nice sealer, would be better if it were a little cheaper in cost. Came with a few of the bags needed for sealing foods into. Nice overall.

I have used several home level vacuum sealer machines over the years. This operates in many ways right on par with expectations.The one thing that really stood out for me on this one was the "Seal Only" function. On all the other machines I have used I had to align the edge end correctly and wait for it to go through an attempted vacuum evacuation first before it would seal the edge. Some machines were so picky this was an extensive waste of time issue. This "Seal Only" function solves this problem and neatly seals the edge so I have a 3 sealed side bag. If you work with bag rolls you know what I'm talking about.I prefer to buy meats in bulk and cut them down to individual portions so having an easy to use vacuum sealer is important. For my testing I got a beef loin and cut it down to 11 KC Strip steaks, each to be portion sealed. Bag sizing off the bag roll was easy and then came the time I dreaded on other machines, getting the third edge sealed. This process worked flawlessly with this machine. Then I was able to put a steak into each bag and the vacuum evacuation and final edge seal worked as expected. I don't know if it is actually necessary all the time, but I have gotten into the habit of double sealing all edges. The "Seal Only" function made this process simple for me and I have confidence in the seal of the bags for freezer and for sous vide use.Overall, it is a consumer level unit so it takes its time to evacuate the bag before sealing. Sometimes getting the bag properly lined up to get the proper evacuation was tricky, but not more any any other consumer level machine I have used. Once it got a good seal it worked like a champ.
