Super cute comfort aid for an anxious pup, but not recommended for a chewer or stuffed animal killer. Torn apart in 5 minutes by my pup. I should have known better. Expensive lesson. But still giving it 4 stars because it is super cute, and I am sure would comfort an anxious pup with the rhythmic heart beat. However, fair warning if you have a chewer or stuffed animal crazy one, this isn't for you. Back to buy stuffies at yard sales for her to tear apart...

Bought this for my 19 yr old Silky Terrier, who has bad dementia. She never sits, just walks round and round until she’s done. Even then, I’ll lay her down only to have her want to pop up in a few. She sleeps in her bed, next to me, in MY bed. I had the heartbeat box from a previous pillow I owned. I used that and it helped a lot. Bought the puppy. It has a different sound, more of a beat. She won’t let me wrap the doggie around her back, or any of that, but, I am able to lay it backward or lay it on top of her, somewhat. I find a good way for her. She settles down, RIGHT away, when I turn it on. I put it on the 2 hr setting. If she wakes up at 4am or some, I pet her with one hand and turn puppy on with the other. She lays her head back down and goes back to sleep for a few hours. I think it’s great. It really HAS helped, quite a bit, for her to get good sleep, as well as ME. Very happy I purchased it. Only teenie tiny thing, I wish they sold it in a couple sizes. I’d like to get it in a little smaller size, but, this one is great. It’s extremely durable, it’s VERY sturdy and it’s well worth the money spent, for my little fur-baby angel. Everyone needing a helper for their baby, should buy one. Really. I’m not being paid!!!!

Our dog loves this pillow/toy. She didn’t understand the pillow aspect of the item. She just thought of it as a toy. But I repeatedly put it under her head when she tried to sleep on the floor with her head directly on the floor. Now she puts her head right on top of it.Our pooch didn’t buy the heartbeat idea, however. She actually prefers it when we take the beating heart out. I think that this is just a peculiarity with our dog. I think a dog I had as a child would have liked the heart feature a lot.

My 4 month old bluetick coonhound/ Labrador puppy has had this for one day and I already had to take it away because the stuffing is coming out. It says it is for puppies. I thought it would be good for her since we've only had her a couple of weeks. It started off great, she seemed to really like it and even slept with it last night. Yet oh well. She only played with it twice today. I guess I can order some thread and try to repair it, but I'm not as good a seamstress as my grandma so I doubt I could get it to hold. It's cute, she seemed to like it, but I wouldn't purchase unless your dog is older without the puppy teeth it implies it can handle.Yeah so, I'm coming back to edit my review after a while. My puppy tore up the toy almost immediately with the stuffing coming out. I knew I wouldn't get a refund, so after I paid $22, I sewed it up as best I could and gave it back. I just kept a close eye on her and only let her have it at bedtime. She has since killed it two more times. The third time, she did it in. I couldn't revive it. Do NOT buy this unless you have a toy or small dog that is smaller than the actual toy itself!

Cute. Neither of my dogs liked it. One would have probably attacked it eventually. He wasn't sure about it.The other laid on it. Then freaked out when felt the vibration.I dont think its felt like a heartbeat at all. It vibrates 2 short burst in a row.

Ive ammended my review because my puppy has really started to love this toy but the pieces break off. As an example the zipper comes off easily which was dangerous. At first he was very scared of the heartbeat and couldnt figure it out. Now, he seems to know how to turn it on and off and loves his little toy. Also, seems like the toy is becoming his girlfriend and he enjoys his alone time with just the dog. Having said all this, it would have been nice for it to come with batteries. He also tore a hole in it within the first 10 minutes which isnt ideal.

Update: day 2: I would SO recommend this toy for a new pup! Fancy loves it and is a much happier pup since we gave it to her. She sleeps better and wakes in a better mood. She goes to her bed on her own. She LOVES it!Original post: Literally just gave this to our new baby, Fancy, about 30 minutes ago. We just got her yesterday. She slept 6 hours last night and naps a lot, but has been restless in her sleep. As soon as I gave her the happy dog toy, she fell asleep in a deep sleep and is more relaxed. I can already tell that she loves it! Instant difference in her quality of sleep.❤

We just got our puppy yesterday, and beforehand was doing hella research to prepare. I tend to spend a lot of time reading reviews and doing my own research before buying, so I’m usually a bit skeptical. I saw people everywhere online saying that these heartbeat puppy plus he’s worked great, so I ended up choosing this one (mostly bc of the price). It is amazing!! I was so pleasantly surprised. They include an extra little heart as well. We brought it to the rescue when we picked him up, let his siblings play with it to get their scent on it, and we keep it in his crate. He loves it so so much! The heartbeat sound is kinda comforting and honestly lulled me to sleep too lol. It is very soft and squishy, so be careful if your puppy likes to chew. Our pup was more interested in the tag than anything else, and I think he sees it as comforting rather than a play thing. 10/10 would recommend, for the price it’s great and having him sleep through the entire first night home was awesome.
