These UHF antennas are just the right size, not too long, not too short. They are stiff but with just the right flexibility. They are working just fine as replacement antennas on my Baofeng portables. I did have to trim just a bit of the plastic guard off the bottom of the antennas for proper mating. That wasn't much of an issue. I'm sure that if you have a Kenwood like they are advertised for fit won't need any modification. These are decent antennas for any UHF portable requiring a female SMA base.
