I bought some MONROE shocks a few months ago and nearly DIED because of them!!They didn't absorb worth a DAMN, NO DAMPENING and the worst part is they caused cupping/scalloping on my tires. My steering wheel was shaking like crazy and the humming crated by the cupping was AWFUL!!! Not to mention that my truck would just "float" sideways at the slightest bump, pothole and even a manhole cover.A bit of research and I found these were good quality and value for money and that is SO TRUE!! My little Ford Ranger is driving perfectly with these shocks. Yes, I do give them 5 stars and will change the rear ones as well ASAP. MONROE SHOCKS ARE GARBAGE! Thanks

Put these on my 90 Ranger. Definitely a smoother ride after replacing the 30 year old shocks. Easy install and feel great, especially for the price.

Nice and stiff and made my truck handle alot better (also have summer only tires on) keeps all 4 tires planted when having to make quick turns.

Perfect stock replacement on my 97 Ford ranger 4x4. Ride is excellent. Smooth on road. Firm off road! Good stuff!

Great shock for the price. Granted probably no the best overall but can't go wrong in this price range. Made a world of difference in ride quality and ability to load truck. I put these on my 96 mazda b2300 and have driven for a while on them already.

I think these KYB shocks are meant for a smaller truck then my ford ranger xlt.They are really meant for small car. This is my opinion only. My ford ranger is still sqishy in the front end. I should have bought a more heavy duty one. Im not impressed with these KYB KG5489
