Works good for small things

I found the stirrer to be effective for test batches, especially considering its price. It works well for my 550 ml batches and the RPM is great. I don't usually need a vigorous stir, but when I tested it at higher speeds, I did encounter some issues. Overall, it's a good stirrer to have on hand in a pinch.

If you like gadges, you'll have fun with this for a few minutes, or for a classroom of little kids. It uses a magnet to stir things with. We don't have a lab, so we just used it to stir our drinks. Why not?

Met my expectations, works perfectly, bigger than expected looks smaller in the picture, great price for the size, happy

Got this to use with some of the projects I'm doing at home. It works, but there are a number of caveats. This was also tempered by the fact that the first one arrived dead, and needed to be returned and replacedFirst compared to the many stir plates I used in the lab this one is pretty small, which matches with the price. I also can't imagine placing a 3 L container on this due to its size, 1 L is probably the max (and that's a serious stretch) that I think would fit on top of this. Secondly is the stirrer. Its stirrer is definitely high powered, and surprisingly highly powered for its size (possibly stronger than the lab grade ones I've used). But this is also a deficit, because the stir bar can't handle it without going hay wire, so the amount of stirring is wasted without getting to maybe half of its power. The included stir bar can only handle maybe a quarter before being tossed into unproductive erratics. I tried out another flatter one and it lasted longer, though at one point I thought the motor was breaking because of the sound (turns out to be some friction or vibration between the magnet and the stirrer at the higher speed and then it also went into erratics bouncing all over the place. This this is cheap, and small, and has an overpowered magnetic stirrer. Not a bad option for testing things out on a smaller scale, but after my experience make sure you test it as soon as you get it to make sure you don't get a lemon.

This arrived unprotected in a box and was slightly scratched. It feels flimsy and cheaply made. They include one magnetic pill. I can't say whether the top speed is the claimed 3500rpm, but even at low speeds this stirrer is quite noisy. The pill bounces around a lot and is difficult to get working. I found the trick is to start with it in the center and very slowly increase the speed, allowing a vortex to form. The speed then can be increased (usually) without knocking the pill off center. It definitely takes some practice. Overall, it's functional --- but barely. I wouldn't trust it with any sort of delicate glassware because the pill feels like it easily could fly off-center and break it. Other stirrers I've used were a lot more stable in this regard. This stirrer is very cheap, and you get what you pay for.

I drop the pill in a bottle, and start dumping sugar. This keeps it mixed really well, letting it dissolve to saturation at room temp. Much easier than my other various attempts. The pill just stays inside, which is probably fine. The stirrer goes way faster than the bottle will support, and slow speed is in fact pretty slow.

This magnetic stirrer is ideal for laboratory experiments or mixing solutions at home. It has a strong stirring capacity and is suitable for various liquid volumes, making it a reliable tool for scientific and culinary applications.
