This is a beautiful kite, with bright, eye catching colors. It's really 2 kites in one. I wanted this for my grandkids. I bought kites for the 3 of them, and they are so excited and ready for better weather to fly them. We're in winter now, so they haven't actually used them yet. But it looks well made and fairly sturdy. It's extremely kid friendly. Everything you need is included. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. As soon as the weather is good for flying my grandkids will be out trying them.

When I saw the bag the kites came in, I thought there must be an error, Surely that's not two full-sized kites. But I was wrong -- it was two full-sized kites. These are not huge, they are designed mostly with kids in mind, but their portability is wonderful. The support rods are very thin, yet strong, and are assembled form segments to allow compact storage. But since they come apart, you'll want to make sure they go right in the bag after disassembly to keep from losing a segment. There were instructions for assembling each kite, but I didn't really need them.It's been a bit chilly for the beach, where I intend my granddaughter and I to use them mostly, but we did go to a local field just to give them a quick try. The wind was a bit light, and the delta wing one worked better under those conditions than the more standard "kite shaped" one. But it was clear that they would both work well with a bit more wind since each did well as long as the flyer was running with it.The material is a thin polyester that seems strong but light. Very high wind conditions might tear them, but these aren't sold for use in high winds.

This was an interesting and funny gift for my friend for Christmas. I bought it just to tell him to "Fly a Kite". The dude has never flown one in his life, but in the summer he could learn and use it at one of NYC's many parks lol. It's supposed to be good for beginners! Similar to the one I had as a kid.

Brilliant colors and they catch air nicely. It's been hard finding good days to fly, so I used a box fan.

I have friends with children coming down for the Christmas Holidays, and I got these kites so I could fly them with the kids on a day that is too cold for swimming, but nice enough to hit the beach. I got the two pack specifically so I could fly one kite with one of the girls, while my friends fly the other one with the other child. I have not had a chance to fly them myself, but I did take them out of the package to put them together and ensure they actually came with everything we'd need to go fly a kite. I am happy to say they do.These kites come in a pouch with hook/loop closure, and I can happily report that you can get them back in the pouch, which is very nice for storage and transport. Even better, these kites come with clear instructions. They are a nice size too, and the string reel is not too big for child-sized hands, but is big enough for an adult to use as well. It's not too hard to get the rods in either, although we adults will likely have to take care of that part. They are pretty and colorful and simple enough to be beginner level kites. They are also made of waterproof fabric, which is perfect for kites you plan to fly on the beach where there is a good chance they will end up in the surf at some point. They are quality kites too...much better quality than you find in most beach stores, and at a much better price to boot. The rods are strong too and bend for assembly without breaking. I am happy with this purchase and am looking forward to introducing the kids to the joys of kite flying on the beach.
