The best little ceramic heater we’ve ever used! Very powerful and keeps the area really warm.

I have one of these oscillating towers in my office so purchasing two for the house was a no brainer. Ascetically pleasing look for the room. Remote requires AAA batteries and works from a good range as long as you have a direct view of the heater. It's quiet and keeps us from having to turn the HVAC up on full blast. The heater doesn't have a tip over shut off but it's not burning hot to the touch and we don't have any animals or little kids. I would highly recommend purchasing a few of them at this price point.

By far, the best working and looking space heater I've ever used. Someone mentioned that is doesn't have controls on the unit and that you can only use the remote, but that's entirely not true. The unit has touch sensitive controls on the front that match all settings on the remote. I purchased this heater over two years ago and it still works great. You can get less expensive floor units that probably do just as good a job but will not look as nice and modern.

Ceramic burning smell will not dissipate after several days of continuous use...a known problem by the manufacturer. Cord also has issues as it gets very hot and is likely not rated for 1500 watts. Returning it ASAP. Essentially, they make crap and then expect consumers to smell it every day of use. Their Customer service department has said that it is a common problem with ceramic heaters of this kind and is therefore not a defect. I totally disagree because I have two other ceramic space heaters (Vornado) that have never had this awful smell issue. They sent me a new in box replacement unit under warranty that had the EXACT same problem...they didn't even bother to test it before shipping it out. Now they want the replacement unit back to "investigate" the problem, which they have already said is a common issue. They said they would need the unit for 3-4 weeks and by that time winter will be over!

We have another heater of this brand which is several years old and still working. Hopefully this one will last as long. The only issue I notice is that the thermostat swing is kind of high. What this means is that if you set it on 68F then it will heat until it reaches 72F before shutting off. This might be necessary because it could be in a larger room than I’m using it in, and it can’t accurately measure the room temperature when it’s heating. It’s probably a limitation of this kind of heater that doesn’t have a remote temperature sensor. The oscillation arc (range of back and forth motion) is also pretty narrow but that doesn’t really matter to me for what we use it for. If for some reason you want a wide range of oscillation, like 45-90degrees, this is not the heater you want because the range only seems to be 15 degrees or something.

Good Space Heater. Only Heater Aesthetics that the wife and I could agree on. The smell isn't really that bad on low. I run this heater on low, otherwise it blows the breaker but I was planning on running the heater on low when I purchased. The thermostat setting will toggle the heater to Hi so I just run the heater on generic Low Mode with Oscillation. I tried the thermostat setting for a minute and the Hi toggle really blows insane heat. I don't know what people were talking about when they said the heater is loud because this thing is whisper quiet. On Low mode the housing is safe to touch and with a toddler I trust this heater. Only had it for a few days but I run this heater on Low in the bedrooms when it gets to 40's outside or colder(F). There's no way I'm paying for 1500 watts sustained on the high setting so I run it on low and it does a great job for a California Winter Climate. I'm not sure just how many Watts Low setting uses, I'd imagine somewhere around 500-600 which is much more doable for me than 1500 watts sustained. My wife and I both like to run it for the cold hours of the nighttime and the low setting works fine for that in our 70's built apartment.Update**Heater is going into its second winter. I still only run it on low, I believe low mode is 800 watts, it's quite warm though. Heater works very well and is the only heater I've seen that is safe around toddlers.

We bought it for a 12x18 basement rec room. Warms the room fast. We have the temperature set at 66 degrees, but it will go up to 68. We like it.

We are repeat buyers of this unit for our office. We have tried several (cheaper) small office heaters but they just don't seem to be able to provide a consistent temperature environment. This unit is more expensive, but for the purpose that we need them its worth it. Instead of heating our entire office space for the few that tend towards the chilly side, this little heater works well enough that everyone is able to enjoy their office environment and we save on our utility bill.

I wish that the unit was also a fan for cool air? If it is I don't know how to aerate that?

I'm impressed, and would buy again. I did notice that on rotate mode after a couple of weeks, there started to be a small rubbing sound when rotating all the way to the left and then back again. However that aside, I am delighted with the heater and would buy again.

Dear Lasko:This is my first common on amazon and I had to make it.I bought this machine yesterday and 10 minutes ago I use this for a while for the first time but then I shut it down. This machine delivered a very uncomfortable odor to room and makes me feel uncomfortable.I have another heater which just really burning, not as safe as this product, but it never smell uncomfortable at all.Anyway, this odor is full of plastic smell, and it run from the begin to the time I shut down.I don’t find any instructions about how many minutes later the toxin odor will disappear on that book you delivered, so I confuse that this product, or at least my own one, will make toxin air forever.I feel unable to smell a little bit when I smell that odor, I go to google, and it show that this might be Polyethylene, one thing may makes me never wake up at next day.But at the another hand, I will open it next day for one hour, to make sure whether it will disappear later, and the reason why toxin air comes out is because the first time to use it, or NOT.But I believe that probably NOT, because this product is made by plastic, and the heat that this machine provided is awesome, so the toxin air just made by heating the plastic on and on and on.I give your product 1 star on purpose, if you can help me to solve this problem, or you can prove that this one single product has quality problem and I can change to another one, I will give another grade from 4 stars or 5.Forgive my rudeness and reply me soon I hope. The time is late(3:21am), I had to sleep while my old heater is working.Have a good day.SincerelyYour Customer.
