I use these to carve on my pots and was super excited by the quantity and price, but like all things if too good of a price it’s too good to be true. About 70% of these do not have straight shafts to them, they have been applied kinked, which I can work around, but about a 1/4 of them are actually just coming off and wobbly. It’s not a very good product, and I have a feeling I will be using it for a few times before just completely throwing them away and going back to a more superior tool.

I bought these for bookbinding because they are sturdy and the needle is straight and not tapered. They work great.

I got These for clay work, pottery making. Great for a sgraffito and sculpting detail work . Big fan of the variety and shapes and sizes. Nice and sturdy tools. Great quality .

Lasnten 20 Pcs Ceramic Needle Modeling Clay Carving Tools Stainless Steel Clay Needle Polymer Detail Pottery Tool Kit Pottery Sculpture Needle Supplies for Sculpting Carving Texture ArtWhen I ordered these carving tools, I mistakenly thought that they were different sizes. However, the set includes 20 identical carving needles. Each one is about 6 inches long with a 1.6” needle. The needles arrived in individual plastic bags with flexible protective covers on each one. Those are a necessity as the tips are very thin and extremely sharp. The stainless steel carving tools have textured handles ensuring a good grip and easy control, but they remain fairly lightweight.Although marketed mainly for craft projects and working with clay, I ordered them to use when I’m hand decorating cookies with royal icing. A fine needle tip is very useful for helping the icing settle smoothly and for popping bubbles beneath the surface. It can also be used to etch designs and fix “boo-boos.”At less than $1.00 each, these are very affordable and I will be able to use several at the same time without needing to wash them when I switch colors of icing. On the downside, you can see in my photo that the tips are not all uniform and some have burrs as well. I’m hoping these problems will not affect my ability to use them.

These are strong pin tools. Kept loosing the ones with wooden handles in our studio. Pins eventually came out also. These work well and are very strong.Now we even have some backup’s waiting.
