Works well but depending on screen door thickness you cannot tighten too much as this will cause the latching part to rub against the existing door. I think if a gasket was supplied for both assemblies it would act as a spacer and can tighten accordingly.

Align the parts,screw in the 4 screws, your done. This is for replacing the identical opener.

It does not take long at all to install this but like many others, when I installed it initially, the handle was tight and would not go back to the set position on its own. After taking it back apart and making sure everything was installed perfectly straight and without any rubbing, it works perfectly. So if you buy one and you find it’s tight, just need to work on it some and it can be fixed. Would be nice if it wasn’t so finicky.

Couldn’t use on an inswinging door. Too difficult to install so I had to order a different latch. Other then that looks like it is solidly made.

First of all, this is the only handle I can find that works with our storm door (the door will get replaced next year) and it used to be $15.99, which is appropriately priced for a low quality item. Now, it is $29.99 (as of 5-10-22) which is far too much for this poor designed handle.The handle is easy to install, but once installed the pressure that is put on the non-spring side, from the center bar, causes that handle to bind up and not turn freely. In turn (pun intended), the spring side is not strong enough to return the handles to center. For this price there should be at least ball bearings in the turning mechanisms of the handles. Disappointed, but hopefully it will last the year.
