Really nice piece. I appreciate the snare isn't a massive and overwhelming piece but more of a subtle sound.

We go to drum circles and have found this Cajon drum to be the best for the price. It is a bit like a snare drum when hit directly in the middle, so it offers and lot of different sounds.

Purchased this because a friend showed me the quality of theirs. Thought I'd get the same cajon, only to find 'Made in China' written right on the label, and this is DEFINITELY a lower quality instrument than the one I've seen. Construction and sound are both substantially inferior. Amazon should update their page info. Should say 'USED to be made in the USA.'

This was a great addition to our rock and roll project! Reason2Rock doesn't only do youth rock shows, we do acoustic gigs as well, and this Cajon is the answer to carrying a full drum set. It sounds great, the bass is full and the snare voice is very clear. I highly recommend this product if you are looking for percussion in your acoustic shows, or as an addition to your band. (Get the storage/carry bag too - it's great!).

Got it as a gift and they loved it! Super quality sound and REALLY fun to play! I was worried if it would be too small at first, but there was no way! My family and I spent a whole night just jamming with it and the sound filled up the room!

Within aweek of playing the face screws started to cone out. Couldn't tighten them cause they was stripped. Fast shipping. The sound of the box wasn't that impressive. Great beginner box! I already upgraded.

I originally chose this cajon because of the abundant positive reviews around the web. Sadly, it was a disappointment. Granted, I was using it at 8,000 feet elevation. That could very easily have affected the sound. It's one of the reasons I waited several days to return it. If giving it time to acclimate was going to improve its performance, I wanted to give it that chance. No such luck. The snares (which are not adjustable) were only OK, and the drum sounded flat and dead relative to others I've played. The upside: 8th Street Music was very easy about the return, and has communicated well. And for the budget price it carries, it's nicely built and finished.
