NOTE -- If you are totally first-world, you are not going to appreciate this product. I have seen (clearly first-world) people in these reviews complaining about this requiring an electrician to install it. ((Yeah, you Dufus, it requires an electrician. Did you not read the description and, I dunno, EDUCATE yourself first?))First, we live in a developing Latin American country. IYKYK. Getting a hot shower is a struggle. This solved ALL our shower problems for hot water. My husband likes showering with the wand, I prefer the pan-head(ish) showerhead. Yes, it takes an electrician to install. Luckily, our neighbor is a licensed electrician from Germany. He installed a separate breaker for it (we have the capacity in our breaker box) and ran the cable for it. Because we live in the tropics, our entire house is built (interior and exterior) with concrete. So the wire is surface-mounted with a type of plastic channel that is made specifically for concealing surface-mounted wires. It looks fine and it is safely installed. The ONLY challenge we have --- and this is completely on us --- the plumbing pipes are a bit high (we had this house built) and so the switch on the heating element is slightly outside my reach (I'm not particularly tall). We have a step-in shower, so if I stand on the ledge of the shower on my tippy-toes, I can reach it to change the temp. But, again, not the fault of the product. Just something to keep in mind during installation. We are very satisfied with this so far. By comparison, we installed the same type of shower (electric, self-heating) in our guest bath, but it's a different configuration and a different brand (Actually a better-known brand!) and we just are not as satisfied with that one as we are this one. We will let that one stay there for now, as that bathroom isn't used all that much. But if and when it dies, we will definitely replace it with one of these. Assuming, of course, that we continue being happy with it. But it's been installed now for about a month or so and we have not had any problems with it. All is good.

If you’ve used these before you know how they can be. I’m very happy with mine. Definitely not like the suicide showers of old. No shock as they added a ground. Use the ground!!
