I use this to clasp the mole and vole tunnels running through the lawn. Does a great job. My only complaint is that the screws provided to hold the handle together sticks out and catches the hand. If I didn't use leather gloves, I would lose skin every time I use it. Hasn't been bad enough to fix it but it is a problem.

Very great quality!! This is better quality than my expensive set that I bought at Lowe’s!! Very easy to use! No assembly required! We use ours for all kinds of things, not just to aerate the ground, but I get lazy and grab it and make a few holes to plant some seeds lol. You can’t go wrong with this. It works perfectly as it should and all you do is put it in the ground where you want and you just keep going to make all of the holes that you want and in my opinion, this is way better than the ones that you strapped your boots and walk around with I think those ones are an accident waiting to happen but this one is the way to go! Great price making it another great deal brought to you by Amazon! It saves you a lot of time, whether you are planting or aerating your ground! The holes are also a decent size. I am a 5 foot five female 140 pounds and the holes it makes is about the size of my thumb so it creates decent sized holes. I’m actually planning on ordering another one so my husband can have his own since we fight over this one lol it seems like every time I want to use it. He is using it or vice versa lol. This is definitely a great tool to have especially if you are a gardener or a farmer just trying to grow some thing lol. I highly recommend this product.

Along our driveway, sidewalks and garden there are several spots where the soil has gotten compact causing the grass to be sparse and unhealthy. Through there years I have always considered aeration but was never sure what kind of tool to get. Well, this is the tool to get!This aerator is SOLID. Made of steal that is sealed and rust proof. It has a perfect weight and heft to it.The platform where your foot goes is amply wide and comfortable to use. I even used it while wearing flip flops with no discomfort :)The spikes have a fairly wide diameter and are a nice length. Much bigger and go deeper than what you would get with shoe mounted aeration tool. Also, the spikes are semi open which means that you are pulling up some dirt as you pull the tool out. So great!The handle is comfortable and solid. Of course, always aerate after a good rain so that the ground is soft. If you do this, you will have no problem using the tool. Indeed, quick and easy. I found myself aerating more of the yard than I intended.Are there downsides to this lawn aerator? Well, the little tools it comes with to tighten the bolts are small and cheap, but you will only need use them once. The nuts are self locking. Also, remember that this is intended for small areas. I cannot imagine aerating a medium to large yard with this. But, you might be that ambitious! For the rest of us, this tool is perfect for the few trouble areas of your lawn.Great quality tool. I highly recommend it.

I needed to aerate portions of my lawn; however, I didn't like the ones that leave dirt plugs all over. I came across this lawn spike aerator and wanted to try it out. The assembly wasn't too bad, everything I needed was there. Once assembled, I put it in the ground, stepped through the center and lifted it up. The holes were not too big nor too small. I continued to aerate a portion of my lawn; it worked well. I have more compact ground so pulling the aerator back up was a bit of a chore, but I could use the arm exercise! I liked the idea, as one reviewer noted, they used this to plant seeds in their garden. I'll have to try that next year, great idea. This aerator can be used for a few different things, works as it states.

I recently tried the Lawn Spike Aerator, and it’s awesome! Way better than my old one. No assembly needed, just grab it and start using it. It's super sturdy and creates holes the size of my thumb, perfect for planting seeds.The wide foot plate makes it stable, and it's comfy to use, even in flip-flops. Just a heads-up: it’s best for lighter use since the handle can flex a bit under too much pressure.If you’ve got compacted soil or want an easy way to plant, this is a must-have. I’m already thinking of getting a second one because my husband and I keep fighting over it! Highly recommend it!
