This is a great set of books that is well thought out to help beginning readers. It has a great mix of easy sight words and some very slightly more complicated words. Just what my daughter needed. She is very self conscious about practicing her reading in front of people for fear of making mistakes no matter how much encouragement we have given so this gives her the ability to practice with a little extra help.

I bought this set of LeapReader books to go along with the LeapReader pen I bought my toddler on a Black Friday special sale. Despite even THIS item being on "special" for Black Friday, the price on Amazon was considerably lower and I just couldn't pass it up. In fact, I bought all 3 volumes for my daughter. I love the Leap Frog products and find them to be high in quality... both content-wise and durability wise. As a teacher, this is very important to me. I'm thrilled to watch my daughter fall in love with reading as a result of reading these books! Thanks Leap Frog for making such great products and thanks Amazon for making them accessible to me!

I bought these to go with the LeapFrog Leap Reader Reading and Writing System (Pink) and they are great! There are 6 books that have great little stories. My daughter stays interested in them and loves that she can click on the pictures for extra fun.The box didn't hold up well, but I figured that'd happen with a rambunctious 5 year old taking care of it.All in all a great product and I plan on buying the other sets for her birthday.

These are very good to me, but I did not buy them for myself, for they were for my 6-year old grand-daughter. On Christmas, she was so excited... She opened them with a smile, worked with me to download each story, and begin the adventure of reading. However, now they sit on the end-table, beginning to collect dust, for if I don't sit with her, she is not drawn to them. I can't necessarily blame the books, but other things has her inerest (internet, cable, toys, etc.). If you go this route to promote education with your child, you need to commit to setting aside time to promote their interest. If not, a nano seconds later you may find them abandoned.

Très déçue par ces "fascicules". Ce ne sont pas les livres brochés comme les autres de la série, ce sont de petits fascicules qui sont très chers et qui ne convenaient pas pour un cadeau.

I bought this product for my granddaughter for Christmas and who has just started school. It is a great product for those who are just learning to read. It can be used by the child alone or with a parent. My granddaughter finds it easy to use and there is a large choice of different books to use as the child progresses with their reading. I was very pleased with this product and will definitely buy more in the future. Not having had the product that long I cannot specify how long the battery the pen requires will last but other that that the product lived up to my expectations.

My daughter loves all the TAG books. She has started pre-k and is really starting to sound out words. I bought these books in hope she could work with them on her own. She loves them! They are a really great set and they keep her entertained and feeling accomplished. My only quip about the TAG reader in general is that I wish the pen would hold more books at once, other than that this is a great system for little ones and makes reading fun.

My son has had his Tag reader for several years now, and as he started Kindergarten this year, we found it even more valuable. He simply loves to read and loves the fun that Tag brings to reading. These 'vowel' series of books (both short and ) have been great learning tools. They have helped him to learn the phonetics of the letters for certain, they use a lot of sight word reinforcement in simple sentence structure, have cute stories and characters, and all while making your child feel independent for be able to 'read' on his own. They are not quite as durable as some of the other Tag books, since they are not hardcover, but this also means we can put more of them in our for in the car or long trips. I think these books are a great addition the ever expanding library of wonderful Tag books.

I love the Tag system, and I think it is a great learning tool for our Kindergarten homeschool curriculum. My daughter is a bit of a grumpy reader unless you get her on a great day, so it is important for me to have a variety of items like workbooks, books, DVDs, games, etc. for her to propel through reading. She likes the TAG system, and it is a great tool, but until she gets through the frustration of learning to read using phonics and sounding out words, this will be a challenge. She wants to rush, but this system is not meant for that. It is a terrific tool, but your child will not read overnight and may not "love it" for what it is - it's not playing with Matchbox cars or a Leapster, it is reading, so be patient and use in only small doses until your child's reading really takes off.
