Leather Honing, Polishing Strop Belt Instructions:
Belt has been intentionally made smaller than indicated to accommodate for stretching over time.
1. Install belt with smooth side out.
2. With belt running, apply buffing compound. Belt may need frequent applications on initial use.
3. Hold the blade at a low angle to the belt and use light pressure, letting the leather do the work.
4. Compound will build up over time. To remove, hold 400 grit or higher abrasive to leather belt while running.
5. Use caution always, for your own safety, and to prevent accidentally cutting the belt.

Belt seems too thick. the "lips" on the wheels that are supposed to hold the belt on are extremely short. they really only work to keep a belt on as long as its not much thicker than a sheet of paper. this leather belt is about 4 times a thick as a sheet of paper allowing it to walk right over the lip that's supposed to hold it on. it continually trys to jump "off track" either forward or backwards without cover on, and just jams its self up against the cover when it walks off track and stops the machine from spinning it.I have the exact machine in the picture. I would love to see a video of it actually working on the work sharp machine. I fiddled with it for an hour. extremely disappointed.

Works great. Takes your knife sharpening to the next level. I noticed one issue. But it might not be the product. Might be the sharpener. While using it I noticed I would only get discoloration on the leather belt in the middle. Like the blade is only touching the blade in the middle. The issue with this is the blade you place on the belt towards the edge does not get stropped and is not as sharp. I need to angle the knife to get the edge. Like there is a bump in the middle of the belt. Feeling the belt off the machine it feels flat. The rollers of the the sharpener are flat. So why the middle being higher. I have not figured that out yet. Still better than doing stopping by hand. I would buy again.

It “strops “ just like the originals but much faster. Fits on my belt sander just fine. This is my second one. First still works but it is covered with strop compound. I will use it until it gives out

Ive had an issue in the past with other brands tracking one way or the other. This one tracks right in the middle. Both inside and outside have pretty good textures and hold compound well. The seem feels about average, a little thump in the belt until i break it in. Felt firm and didnt stretch on my machine.

Right out of the gate, it's easy to tell that these are well made. I purchased three at once and they're all made to a very good standard. The sizes are consistent in thickness, width and length. An unscientific test of their strength did not cause any harm, warping, it stretching of the material. I'll update this once I get my Gunny Juice and work on a few knives. I'm using these for my blade sharpening business.

I got this strop because the one I've been using broke while I was trying to clean it. This new one puts a great edge on my knives that I shaved some of the hair of my arm. Great strop.

This belt fit my Wen 1x30 with no adjustments needed. Works well, works quickly, so watch what you're doing. I'd rather have direction-of-rotation arrows instead of Leatherbeltman's face as a decoration, but maybe that's just me. Hey, why not both?
