rock tumblers for adults

Discover the beauty of polished stones !

Explanation: The motion in the barrel of the polisher simulates the natural action of flowing water or ocean waves. Beaches and riverbeds contain rocks and pebbles smoothed by water and the abrasive sand it carries. As rocks grind upon one another with constant water or sand in the mix, they begin to round and smooth. Although this is a constant process, it does not however, naturally polish the rocks. The complete process usually takes 4-6 weeks.

This is a great tumbler for the price but I would keep this in mind. The tumbler is pretty loud, the barels are difficult to open, it's a bit faster than what I would like, and the barels need some tape inorder for the them to grip and tumble correctly. Either way it tumbles well but not for me.

This tumbler has had problems ever since I purchased it, and finally the motor burned out and could have started a fire if I hadn’t gone in to check on it when I did. I’ve had this tumbler for a little over a year. Most of the time, I didn’t even run it because I didn’t want to deal with the problems. Often, the drums wouldn’t turn, so I’d be limited to using just one drum, and I couldn’t even fill it up to capacity. Once I tightened the belt, I could get two drums to turn, but each had a 2 lb max weight- any more weight and they stopped turning. About a month later, the belt broke. I replaced the belt, but I didn’t tighten it as much, in fear that it would break again. So I was back to using just one drum. Then a month later, I walked into my garage and smelled a burning smell, and the tumbler wasn’t turning the drum; it was just making a loud, grating whirring sound. I felt the heat coming from it while standing two feet away. When I touched it with the back of my hand, it was as hot as a stove. I’m so glad I walked in when I did. The motor obviously burned out, so the tumbler is now useless. I emailed Leegol-Electric’s “customer support,” and also called them and left a voicemail, but they haven’t replied to me. They do not have any customer service, so please beware. If you purchase anything from them, good luck getting any help, should you need any. I can’t believe they’re allowed to be in business. It seems somewhat scam-like.On a more positive note, I’ve been using their single drum tumbler consistently for a couple of years now, and besides having to replace about 6 or 7 belts, it’s still running and working well for me.

One of my favourite things I've ever got for myself, it's heavy duty, holds twice the amount of the first one I ordered, I'm just in love with it!!!

Set up procedure and the instructions were straightforward. I noticed the portion where it said to be sure to frequently lubricate the bearings and made sure to have done that in between each cleaning. However halfway through my second cycle the drive bearing has given out and will not rotate the barrels.Update: I have been contacted by the manufacturer and they have shipped a replacement. I'm hoping this one holds up better. Customer service was easy to work with, they just needed a photo so they could verify the model.8/15/24 so the new Tumbler that the company sent again worked fine for almost a full cycle but got up to the polishing step and started giving me trouble. I have a background in computers and electronics so it wasn't real hard to figure out what the problem was once I started taking things apart. Let me start out by saying I never put more than 5 pounds worth of rocks and water on at a time and actually use a scale to make sure. The drive shaft on the motors of both units have bent. This would also account for the fact that I have gone through a half a dozen Drive belts and haven't gotten more than 8 lbs worth of polished Stone for all of my troubles. That would be 8 pounds out of two machines in a year I would not recommend buying this particular model under any circumstance. The company is easy to work with but the motors are underpowered and the drive shaft is too small to handle the load of even 5 pounds much less six.1/7/25 even with parts from 2 of these and trying to Frankenstein one of them I'm at the end of the road and now need to find a tumbler that will hold up.

I have had two of these (same design, different sellers) and they did not work well. The first one I bought at Harbor Freight and was a "Chicago Electric" model that sounded like a freight train and broke belts every five or six days. It froze up after a couple months. The second one was a Leegoland I bought on Amazon and it did not work right out of the box. A problem with the spinning bar. The one I'm reviewing now works like a charm. It is very quiet, even when using two full drums. It's been running for weeks now without a problem. The seller shipped to me super fast. I am very happy with this one!

Lids on barrels are very difficult to remove and replace. Carefully using a pry tool will help. Advantage is they will never leak.Double barrel is a must for stage 1 to ensure there are enough rocks left to go to the next stages. I bought 2 to run multiple stages. Motors run flawlessly with very little heat. At 29 watts per tumbler power consumption is minimal. Bought replacement notched drive belts in anticipation of wear but after months of use haven't needed to replace. Would highly recommend the Leegol Electric Pro double barrel 6 lb tumbler [the red one] as a good one if your new to the rock tumbling hobby. Very pleased.

Of course this is noisy! I've been running this pretty much non-stop since mid January. Today was the first time I needed to do maintenance on it. The tumblers stopped turning. I had to tighten the belt. No issues other than that. YouTube is your friend.Edit: Spoke too soon. Tumblers intermittently stopped turning and during the night, they stopped completely. I emailed Leegol last week when this first happened and have not received a reply. Works great, until it doesn’t. Both tumblers were weighed at just under 3lb each with everything added.FINAL REVISION. Finally had correspondence from Leegol. They sent a replacement tumbler. Great. Received it very quickly. Unfortunately this one worked just a few hours before it did the same thing as the first one. The motor seized up. You can see both in the picture. Also had to reattach the belt. After contacting them again they agreed to a refund. I, as well as Leegol, we’re in disbelief that this could happen to 2 different machines. But it did. My suggestion to Leegol would be to add protection around the motor to stop it from moving in transit.I will say that they were very easy to work with.

Firstly, the lids are extremely difficult to remove. It's difficult to do without bending the metal of the lids, and as a result I doubt the rubber seal will last long, and the metal may fatigue and break where the screw knob attaches.Secondly, it got really noisy after a few hours, and after a little over a day, it no longer works. The motor turns, but it won't turn both drums. I suspect there's a bad bearing somewhere, and as a result, there's too much friction to turn the drums and the belt is slipping.
