I am living in a rental home so didn’t want to spend on a fixed install for a Level-2 charger.This is perfect. I am charging my 2025 Tesla M3 LR for the past 3 days with the supplied 5-15 adaptor plugged into a 110V wall socket. It adds 6 miles/hr consistently, just enough overnight for my commute.The charging power is 1.45kW (current set to 13A) and the charger, nor the cable appear hot to touch (temp is 30 F outside) so hopefully longevity should be good. The display is useful and setting the current and time delay is easy and useful. Maybe the charging cable could be longer by a couple of feet, but I am nitpicking.I could try charging at higher current but don’t want to risk damage the 5-15 wall socket or blow a fuse.

Extremely slow to charge and kept tripping the breaker. I returned it and bought OEM which has been working flawlessly. Wouldn’t recommend trying to save a couple bucks here - lesson learned.

The Autozen 16 Amp Tesla Level 1-2 Charger is a pretty decent charger. It has a very good solid housing with a nice durable grippy finish, and silicone or rubber feet to protect the bottom! It is very compact in size. The handle is pretty comparable in proportions to the charging unit. The material finishes on the housing are decent.The inlet cable is 0.414 inches in diameter while the outlet cable is 0.504 inches in diameter. The only reason why I am not giving it five stars is because the inlet cable is smaller than the outlet cable and the inlet cable should be longer. The inlet cable gets hotter because it is a smaller gage! I like the cords length but the inlet cable could be a bit longer, so the housing isn’t dangling its weight on an outlet! It has an adapter to go to a regular wall outlet as well.The charger is pretty compact! It weighed only 5.63 pounds even with the extra attachment cord! The handle quality is decent! It provides a good grip, and the materials are pretty great with a nice actuating button.It is nice that this device includes a digital readout that tells you information from this unit such as kilowatt-hours and amperage and time on charge to verify how long it was charging for, but it is missing temperature. Sure, the vehicle could tell you some of this information, but the temperature is an essential piece of data which it can’t tell you and some vehicles don’t tell you the time it took to complete the charge.This device is plug and play. I was using this to charge up my 2021 Tesla Model Y and it was sustaining 16 amps. I liked that this charger could be used on a standard wall outlet and there was also the ability to go to the higher amperage of 16 amps with the supplied connector. I used an adapter to come off a 50-amp breaker with an extension cord to the device. It was able to sustain 16 amps though it got ridiculously hot!I like that the back of the unit includes a data table that tells all the different light statuses. It states that the operating temperature is up to 122 degrees Fahrenheit. This is ample for this level of charger.The carrying case is made out of nylon with a nice slick coating to it. There is some padding inside the bag. The bag is large enough to fit the charger and cable in without too many issues. The handle should be longer and it needs to have come padding,The device also came with a holder for the cord that could be mounted to a wall but these were very cheap pieces of plastic!
