Have been using these to replace plugs that are melting on outdoor Christmas light strings. These have been absolutely marvelous. Easy to install and hold up really well. Highly recommended!

I used this plug to convert a ceiling mounted fixture into a plug in. If I can do it, anyone can. It was simple to do and solved my problem.

It was a little tough to fit the wires in, but I was able to with multiple tries. Saved me from needing to buy a new appliance, and for one to go into the landfill

Works great to replace a worn plug or repair a break. A little big and clunky, otherwise great.

I thought this was a little on the threshold of being expensive, however the plug I replaced had been smoldering and fed an electric fire, so, no compromise on quality here.. good plug, and leaves me feeling safe. easy fit by the way.

Bought to rewire a metal lamp that I was converting from florescent to LED lighting. Previous connector wasn't polarized and being entire case of lamp is metal I wanted to ensure the hot wire always went to the switch before going to rest of lamp. This also ensures the florescent sockets are not always electrified. Worked well and verified everything works as it should. I did notice it was hard to get it to close all the way but that's a good thing...I also included a picture of the connector after a week or so of being connected to confirm it does hold the wire in several spots. This is standard stranded 18/2 "zip wire." I'm not concerned by amount of deformation as the entire plug is made out of plastic so no concern with it shorting out.

The old vacuum is very noisy, but it works a lot better than the new vac. Unfortunately one of the brass prongs fell out of its plug a week or so ago. Yikes, didn't know what to do. A co-worker told me about this replacement plug. I'm not skilled with tools and don't have fancy wire strippers, but was able to follow the directions. I cut the old plug off with wire cutters, followed the directions, and got the new plug on without too much trouble. Wow, the vacuum works again! Not only did this save me the cost (and hassle) of buying a new vacuum, I'm so glad the old one has more life left in it. Very happy.

My dog chewed through my wifes lighted mirror. I wasn't sure if I necessarily needed a polarized plug, but the original one was, so I thought I should get a replacement plug that was. This is easy to use. It is slightly larger than the standard plug, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. I think it helps with pulling the plug out of the receptacle without pulling on the cord putting strain on the innards of the plug (and the wire). The fit in the cord I used was tight, so I didn't really need anything extra for a cable pull relief. It appeared to be typical lamp cord. I could see why someone would want a cable relief grommet if they usually pull the cord to remove a plug from a receptacle, especially if the cord they had was smaller than typical. I would not recommend this practice for any plug, even original plugs. Or we may need more of these. It works quite well for what it is designed to do, and is simple enough. Just verify which wire is neutral vs. hot with a google search, make your shepherd hook and connect them to the screw terminals so that the hook becomes tighter (basically from the top, both sides should be the top part of an "C"). Otherwise as you tighten the screw down if using stranded wire, the wire could un-strand or push its way out as you tighten causing a poor connection.
