This strap is exactly what I wanted. The front is nice, clean leather, and the back part that touches your clothes is made of this smooth woven nylon material—not suede like some other straps. I’ve tried full leather ones with suede backs, but they felt rough and even left some stuff on my hands, so I was worried it’d get on my clothes too. Plus, those didn’t slide well at all when I moved around. But this one moves super smoothly and feels great. It also looks awesome! Only thing is, there was a little scuff on the front and folded point at the very edge when it delivered and it's kinda noticeable, but honestly, it’s really minor, so it doesn’t bother me much. Overall, super happy with this strap.

Fender included these in the late 90’s into the 2000’s with their premium guitars. I was able to acquire a couple, then they stopped using them and Levy’s had stopped making them. I was so happy to see them available again a few years ago. I have them in black, dark brown, and now white,… (on a Gretsch it looks nice).The price is pretty good for a strong strap with leather. In inside is nylon. It adjusts with a slide, so it’s very clean looking. Very durable.I would absolutely recommend this product.It was delivered on time and the box was in good shape.

The picture on the right is an old strap that looks very similar to the levys strap...it is all leather.The levys strap I just purchased says..it's a leather strap but it's only leather stitched to nylon or some other material.If I had known that it wasn't all leather I wouldn't have bought it...it just feels cheap in comparison to my old leather strapPerhaps it says it somewhere in the description but for what it costs...I expected a bit more quality

I'm very glad I read other reviews prior to buying. So many people knocked this because it's not full leather and that actually was a selling point for me. I live in the desert and often play wearing sleavless shirts and full leather straps get stuck on my shoulders and prevent me from being able to move the guitar where I need it when I'm sweating. Its got the leather look but the playability I need.My only knock is the size. I'm a bigger guy and some of my guitars I like to hang low and some a little higher. I've got this thing maxed out on length and it fits my SG perfect for playing a little bit higher up. It wouldn't work for my low hangers or bigger guitars at my size but will be my main SG strap.

These are great straps for the money. Standard Levy's quality that we all know and love. It has a beautiful strip of leather on one side, with nylon on the back, providing the comfort I'm accustomed to with normal straps, but with the added bonus of a nice leather look and aesthetic.I saw a few reviews complaining that this is nylon backed and isn't a full piece of leather, which to me is funny, given the fact that at this low cost, expecting feet of quality genuine leather isn't feasible, this is a $30 strap, be realistic or spend twice as much. Levy's even offering this at such a low cost is quite impressive, credit where credit is due.Besides for that odd observation, these are fantastic! Same build quality I've come to expect from my more expensive full-leather models I use for my basses. This is now my 3rd M7GP, and they seem to last and hold up just as long as the thicker/more robust full leather options.Plenty comfortable, and stylish at a more reasonable cost/bulk factor, can't beat it!5/5!

What do I love about leather guitar straps? The feel and the sturdiness. What do I hate about them? How they slip over a shirt when I get sweaty during a gig, and how they will sometimes leave marks on shirts from the leather dye. This strap is the best of both worlds, combining durable leather with nylon to give me the best strap experience ever. My only con is that I wish it would extend a few inches longer for my larger guitars (Explorer/Flying V/Etc), but other than that I love this strap and will continue to replace my aging straps with these!
