1st you have to pay extra to get it as an add-on. Doesn't come with $99 case.2nd it does not fit well. You have to really hard bend the thick wiring to get by the lower fan.3rd the USB connector requires the large connector on your mobo which is already taken by the main control panel on the case. 99% of mobo's have only 1 connection of this type. You have to buy an additional cable that converts the large plug to a regular 4 pin USB which most mobo's have several.4th and MOST IMPORTANTLY only 2 of the 4 buttons on the RGB controller do anything. The other 2 basically are dummies so your lighting choices are very limited. Several others have reported this problem on the web and also in the reviews here.

This dust filter snaps into place behind the front panel of the Lancool 216 case. It’s well made and works perfectly. I think it ought to come standard with the case, but I guess Lian Li wanted to keep the cost down. The Lancool 216 case has two humongous 160mm fans in front; given the amount of air those things are going to suck in, I recommend this filter.

Wish I'd read other reviews first. Besides the light control buttons, this item has two USB-A ports. More USB is always nice. .....but many motherboards only have one 19 pin USB header, and mine is one of them. In having a Lian Li 216 case, the power button panel also has two USB ports and their plug occupies the single 19 pin header on my board. This item should have come with two usb 2.0 plugs for the USB ports. The USB 2.0 to 19 pin 3.0 cable adapter on Amazon is out of the question, as bad reviews of pins falling out prove lack of the quality control and therefore quality. This means it's dealer's choice of a couple useless USB ports, buy a PCIE card with 19 pin connection, or go through the trouble of clipping off the 19 pin and installing two USB 2.0 connectors. As for the LED controller portion, there is no dimming. Besides that, it does well enough to change from the default Pride parade to some range of colors and effects on the fans and rings. I was lucky enough to have some RGB fans that took on the desired blade color, except for one LED that was the color of the ring. I don't know whether blame lies with the 216 RGB controller or the fan manufacturer. I have three models of Thermalright fans, two of which exhibited this.....undesirable trait.Got 140mm ARGB fans from Phanteks ---> 3 LEDs take on the color/effect assigned to the halo of the Lian Li 160mm front case fan. Ergo, the 'undesirable' effect is a function of the controller assigning color/effect values for different zones in a single array. Think of an ARGB fan as having an array of LEDs numbered as follows: LED 1, LED 2, LED 3,..., LED Last. The left side of the LAN216-1 handles colors/effects for those. Directly afterward and in the same array are the 216's front halo LEDs assigned as: LED Last +1, LED Last +2, LED Last +3,..., etc. The right side of the controller handles color/effects for that end of the array. On ARGB fans, any 'off' count will always be near where the power wire goes in. If your ARGB fan/accessory has more LEDs than a Lian Li fan, the extras will exhibit the color characteristic assigned by the right side of the controller. If it has less LEDs than a Lian Li fan, effects that 'chase' (ie: around the fan) will exhibit a 'pause' while nonexistent LEDs are signaled. If it has an array of LEDs totaling more than + , most likely none of the 'overage' LEDs will even light up.Lian Li is certainly not the only manufacturer to utilize 'proprietizing shenanigans' to justify inflated prices in the name of compatibility. (ie: the model of Phanteks I chose push WAY more air, have a much longer warranty, and were significantly cheaper than similar offerings from Lian Li.) Darn shame this shenanigan backfired a bit, as the effect of this lazy engineering on off-brand fans has grown on me.I love how the LAN216-1 panel fits in the case. I love that it is a 100% hardware solution, allowing the same color pallet in both Windows and Linux without any bloated software running in the background. I love that there is no remote to lose. If this thing had dimming and did not require a 19 pin header, I would definitely bump it up to 5 stars. .....thus, the review sticks at 3 stars.

This dust filter fits perfectly between the case and the front bezel that covers the intake fans. Just pop the bezel off by pulling firmly on the bottom hand hold. Then install the filter into the bezel. Re-install the bezel and your case is protected from dust! I highly recommend this easy upgrade.

I bought this ARGB & USB controller to replace the one that came with my Landcool 216 ARGB case with ARGB & USB controller... The original controller stopped working after a month... I hope this new controller last a little longer then the first one! Liam Li creates wonderful cases, but lacks in a few areas... This controller requires a second USB 3.0 hub (90% of motherboards only carry one USB 3.0 hub) The case didn't come with a USB 3.0 splitter so it would work as sold... Too bad this genius case builder didn't include a USB 3.0 splitter so the case would work as advertised... It is extremely difficult to get this splitter :-( Most of these splitter are poorly made and don't support all four USB ports to work at the same time... I beg Liam Li to create a well made USB 3.0 splitter included with his ARGB & USB controller, thank you!!!

A little difficult to install due to the stiff wires. Cool lighting effect, clear controls. BUT it can only control two fans

I moved the original board from the top and put it at the side so controls for lighting would be at the top and usb connections down low closer to the desk for ease of use. Smart choice. Added so much versatility to my case and controls lighting so well. Love the 216 looks and size.

Bastante práctico, contar con usb adicionales sobre todo en la parte frontal de la caja, para un mejor y más rápido acceso. Bastante fácil de instalar y conectar a la placa. Buenos materiales y calidad de construcción. Muy recomendable.
