We have a couple lanterns around the house, as power outages are not totally unfamiliar to us, and they tend to lend a certain rustic flavor to wherever they said. This lamp works perfectly, holds oil quite well, and illuminates a small area quite well. The additional wick is a bonus, especially some of our other similar lanterns are getting low on wicks. I consider this lantern priced extremely well and the quality is as high as any other lantern we have. I do certainly recommend this lantern, especially at the price point.

Honestly, I got this more for decorative purposes than functional, but it's nice to have on-hand in case of an emergency. It comes with extra wick material too. I would have gotten this even if it didn't function at all as a lamp, just because I like the way it looks so much!

I have several Dietz lanterns of various ages but this is my first "new" one. I'll admit I don't use them except for decoration, so I can't speak to it's functionality as a lantern, however - it's just as beautiful, solid and well made as my other lanterns. The distressing is perfect, and I took my photos in soft natural sunlight to try and show the colors in the metal the best I could. The pictures really don't do it justice. Highly reccomend.

This is a very cool antique looking oil lantern. Comes with extra wick and is really stylish. This is designed to attract attention and create conversation. It’s functionality is a plus.
