I could no longer use the analog output of my Galaxy S21 as something has gone wrong with the phone's connector. However, I'm more than happy to use this DAC as I can now handle phone calls and listen to music with far more audio fidelity than ever before.Do know that you'll be using more phone battery with this device which is understandable and it does get warm to the touch as evidence of this.

I had no issue with the sound on any of my iems. However the ribbon style connector is not durable. It wore out in a bit over a year of sporadic use. Since it's non-detachable it was rendered unusable. If more durable I could rate it higher

It's really amazing how good quality the sound is for the price. I bought this because I wanted to get something with one of AKM's newest chips, and wow they really have a good DAC & headphone amp here. The overall clarity is insanely high, and since the headphone amp uses a charge pump, it is able to better control the drivers in IEMs/headphones.Any headphones around 100 ohm downwards will work with enough volume on this, but don't try anything above that as I found it started to clip with higher impedance headphones.

I've been using decent audiophile headphones for a couple of years. My phone with a built in amp broke, so I bought this. It is not powerful. About the same as average built in dacs, 71mw per channel. Gets my 150 Ohm HD58X loud enough straight out of the box, but it's not able to handle more taxing EQ well (PEACE & Harmon Target). Most noticeable improvement was in the amount of detail gained and slightly better separation. I don't have the best ears, so maybe others will perceive a bigger improvement. Get something with 1.5-2VRMS ideally for similar/harder to drive headphones.

Harldy works and when it does, it has a bunch of audio popping. It is getting worse as time goes on. I regret buying this.

It is a nice little dac/amp. It is built ok, feels well made, only weak link is the attached USB line as it is not replaceable, but for the price understandable. The unit does get hot, I think it is because of the LED light that stays on, which it really does not need to. Should only turn on at the start of use and maybe once every 10 minutes to to keep user informed. The sound was clean and had a good amount of detail and did not sound colored at all. I was happy with the unit for the first 20 minutes and then it began. I was getting a random POP sound every once in a while. I tried on several other sources and with several IEM's and headphones and it was there. Not present on any of my other dac/amps, so this is being returned. I have read that some others are experiencing the same POP sound, so maybe on V2 I will try again.

Great sound and small size. Carefully of hard aluminum sharp edges as can scratch phone screen in pockets. Also light is really bright (cover with sharpie helps). Wish USB was replaceable as seems to have issues once and a while due to tight repeated bends...

This dongle is a great value if you need a bit more amplification for slightly less sensitive IEMs or closed backs on the go. It doesn't seem to be as clean as an apple dongle or some similar FiiO products. It didn't end up working for me, due to incompatibility with my Pixel 6. Do not buy these to pair with a Pixel. The FiiO KA3 ended up being compatible and I never had trouble with the apple dac dongle. I'm giving it good rating because the incompatibility isn't really 7Hz or Linsoul's fault.
