I have noticed two types of double flare tools in this world. Ones with extremely tight tolerences that make it difficult to use but provide almost perfect flares every time. And the ones with very loose tolerences that you must try and center and almost never provide a perfect flare. This is the second type. It's almost small enough to fit in a 3/16" line. Its loose as heck in a 1/4" line. I guess I will keep it as my 1/4" broke and I will have to make this work for now until i found a better quality one. If i end up not using it, it will definitely be going back.

I've had this for almost a year, and the tit is still in tact. There's a little rust spot where the divit is. But it still works fine.

got this as a replacement for my cheapo double flare set. Works good and looks to be better quality than the one it replaced. Remember to always using a tubing cutter (no hacksaws) and make sure your tubing is cut square and clean (deburr the edges) but a little light oil or brake fluid on the flare adapter and take your time.
