Good camera but Looses signal most of the time

The camera could watch a large room when placed in a central area or monitor two different spaces at once, since the camera could be placed to point to opposite directions.The bottom camera is stationary, but the top camera has pan and tilt capabilities with automatic tracking that can follow movements to 360° degrees.The Wi-Fi camera includes a 6.5 ft. USB power cable, USB power adapter, mounting bracket, stickers, installation anchors, and screws.There was also mention in the manual of a "Pre-installed 32GB SD Card", but this unit did not have one.The Lorex Dual-Lens Wi-Fi Security Camera is very easy to setup and the Lorex app is very similar to some generic security cameras. There is a registration process and then the camera can be added to the app by scanning a QR code located at the bottom. The camera only supports the 2.4GHz frequency band.You have the option to record to the cloud for a monthly free, but the camera has a micro SD slot where I can just pop in a SD card and start recording footage locally. The camera supports up to 256GB micro SD card, which could record for months before it overwrites old recordings.The Lorex Dual-Lens Wi-Fi Security Camera records video when it detects motion or sound and there is an option to get notifications. The camera supports smart motion alerts that can differentiate between people, and pets and it did a fine job of identifying the source of the motion.The 2K (2560 × 1440) recording quality coming from both cameras during daytime was very good. There was excellent details and colors were saturated nicely.The Lorex app is straightforward and comes with an impressive amount of information and controls that are easy to use. It allows manual control over the camera's panning and tilt capabilities to look at an entire room. It would be nice it the camera could be set to also scan a room periodically. The camera has a button for two-way communication with the Lorex app on a mobile device that provides decent sound quality. It also has siren that can be activated for the mobile app.The video feed is clear and without lag, but I encountered a repeating issue with the app after receiving motion notifications. I would tap the notification and instead of providing the footage, I got the error "Uh oh! Something went wrong. Tap to retry." Tapping does nothing, but closing and reopening the app provides the footage. This error had occurred more often than I would have liked.The camera has built-in lighting and lighting indicators that change the colors for many of the options, but luckily they can be disabled altogether.The top camera has a privacy mode that when enable, it swings the lens downwards 180° degrees and to stops recording. I would have liked if the bottom camera had some type of auto cover that slides and block the lens.The camera is light weighing half a pound and uses less than 9W of power to operate. If you do not have a wall outlet nearby, it can easily run out of a power bank.This Lorex security camera was is easy to setup, it comes with very useful features and we have the option of recording to the cloud or recording locally free of charge. It does provide crisp and clear video feed. The pan and tilt work flawlessly, the auto tracking is a great feature to expand the field of view and the back and forth communication is neat.The unit is a single camera that does the job of two, and the smart motion alerts, for people and pets are an awesome feature.This unit is a very good option if you are interested in using the camera to manually check on things at home, receive notifications and record footage locally.
