Installed this lightbulb as a replacement for one that was a year old and no longer effective. This bulb is apparently defective as it made no difference in the algae issue in pond. As a double check to confirm, we placed a backup unit online and the pond cleared within days only to have immediate problems again when backup unit removed.

I see there are a lot of people saying it is a loose fit. Mine was loose but I pushed more and then I felt it click and it became a solid connection. I will do an update later on it's life span, hopefully it will last a long time.

The pins that plug in are not as tight as they should be and the light will come out very easy

The light died when I plugged it in my filter. It turned on then died instantly. I double checked if it was the right watts and it was. I then check continuity on the bulb and it also showed it was dead.

Unfortunately the light is the wrong size and will need to return.
