I install my own ceiling fans and this one was the easiest installations of four that I have put up. Only tough part is always supporting the fan housing as you screw it into the ceiling plate - an extra hand is helpful. As always when finished you hold your breath that everything is right and it works when you turn on the power. No issues at all with this Emerson model which I decided on after reading many reviews of "best" fans on numerous online sites. Once on, the remote worked perfectly and the fan is soooooo quiet - I was impressed. LED light is bright and this 52" three blade...although many would think you need four or five for good air circulation - with its six speeds it gave an immediate cooling breeze. Made a believer out of me - am thinking Emerson for the next room. A two thumbs up.

We love it. Perfect addition to our renovated kitchen. On high speed it does make a slight noise but we barely notice it now.

Ordered three of these because I liked the simple design. My husband had a difficult time installing them, but more importantly, after just four months the light continually flickers and it is past the point of being able to return them.

Do not buy this fan! The design and installation process is extremely cumbersome to the point that after the fan was 90% installed it had to be uninstalled, boxed up and returned. Since the large remote receiver is not prewired and takes up to much room, it makes it impossible to install the outside housing to the ceiling bracket. Stay away if you want to keep your sanity.

This fan is quiet and generates a nice cooling breeze. The base is bigger than I expected; I feel it draws attention to itself, and I'm not as into it aesthetically as I'd hoped. But it's fine. It's nice that it came with the remote. We had an electrician install it, so I can't speak to ease of installation.
