Quality Non-Asbestos Ceramic Fiber Alternative Blanket
Our insulation blankets are made from premium 8lb density ceramic fiber alternative that has safer high-temperature insulation, and durability. It can hold and retain its shape and is non-asbestos.
Installation can be done by mechanical fastening or high-temperature adhesive such as sodium silicate, refractory cement, or RTV silicone.
Withstands High Temperatures
It withstands direct flame, continuous use at 2200°F, intermittent use at 2400°F. Above 2400°F, it will begin to shrink, become brittle, and eventually melt at 3200°F. It features excellent thermal stability and retains its original, soft fibrous structure up to its maximum continuous use temperature.

1st of all, this not even enough to do 2 baffles. That aside, this is so thick there is no way this is ever going to fit back into the exhaust. Tried compressing as much as possible. After removing the metal shielding to try and and work it that way, the fiberglass just fell into a million pieces. A huge waste of my time and money with this one.

I used these on top of my furnace plenum to stop radiant heat on floor joists above with only a 3/4" clearance. It required purchasing 4 units to cover the area of 24" x 20" which made it pricey. However, they work great and satisfied with purchase.
