Does exactly what it needs to do. I appreciate the ability to tighten it down - nothing moves. After taking down the garland, these came off with no problem and no residue/marks were left behind.

These are pretty basic, no frills hangers. You have to have a fair amount of overhang on your mantle to be able to secure them properly. Unfortunately my mantle didn't have enough, so it was difficult to get them tightened securely. The garland we wanted to hang is pretty heavy so we weren't comfortable using these. All things considered, if you are looking for a budget friendly hanger for your stockings and garland, these are worth a try.

These mantle hooks have become versatile for us! I have this huge garland that I put up for Christmas every year and it has been difficult finding clips that can withstand the weight. Even though these didn't have the best grip on the top of the mantle, they held up nicely to the weight of the garland. Now that the garland is down, we are using them to hang cords and headphones that need to be accessible in the entertainment center area. The only issue I have is that the top did not have a grip of any kind, so it slipped around a little at first.

I absolutely love these stocking hangers for our bannister. I was slightly hesitant so I started with the pack of two and have since purchased 4 more. Zero damage to the wood, doesn't even need screwed tightly to hold a heavy stocking plus garland. Love that it has the two hooks for hanging. Assembly was easy and straightforward and the overall build is durable. Very good value for the price. 10/10 recommend

I guess functionally they work, but boy are they ugly looking on the mantle. My guess is these were meant for something else and are being 'remarketed' as stocking hangers.
