Nice looking imbossed designs on the sides, and it grinds beautifully. Good size.

Gorgeous piece, but not very effective. Keeping it for its beauty, but it takes over 7 strenuous minutes of cranking to get enough coffee grounds for a 3-cup french press.

Rather phallic for the kitchen counter. That said, it grinds well :)

I love the antique style and feelof this Turkish Coffee grinder, I have several Turkish coffee and tea pieces and this matches them perfectly. The metal work is beautiful to look at making this both functional and decorative at the same time which I always love. This is the kind of item you can display but it doesn't feel like wasted space because you can actually use it for something useful... well if you like Turkish coffee anyways.I like that it can store the handle in the base if you want or you can just leave it attached. It arrives non-attached though so you will need to assemble the handle before use but it's super easy and quick to do so. The grinding action is excellent and really helps you get that fine powder used for Arabic and Turkish style coffee.

it's just a decorative item, hard to use, fall apart all the time, and coffee beans are too large to get through, good for pepper though

I got this grinder originally for my Madagascar peppercorns but ended up using it for dried minced onion as well! I can say that it ground up the onion into a nice powder. It ground up the peppercorns with no issues as well!! It can be a bit difficult when a peppercorn gets stuck a bit but with a little bit of elbow grease, it gets grinding again. Just make sure that when you are done grinding, to give it a few more cranks to be sure that it is emptied out before you grind something different! Next, I plan to try grinding up Ceylon cinnamon sticks and seeing how fine of a powder those become. Once I have some dried vanilla beans, I plan on trying this with that as well! I will make updates as I get those items to try grinding up!!

I've had several styles of manual coffee grinders, all of which were utilitarian in appearance. This grinder looks stunning on my counter! The design is gorgeous and fits in with my esthetic. It makes a nice grind and I found the screw that adjusts the grind size was easy to adjust. The handle folds for storage if you prefer.I had to deduct a star, however, because of how you empty the grinder. Most are screwed on. This one is fitted and you have to pry it off. Right now it's not hard to pull the bottom off the body of the grinder, but there is the potential for it to either get jammed on if you attach it in a crooked manner, or else it would pop off and splatter coffee everywhere.Overall, I like it and found actually grinding the coffee by hand faster than most of the other grinders I've had. And I feel like I can be mindful of how the bottom detaches, so it shouldn't be a problem. But absolutely future designs should include this part to be threaded!
