This sounds like a child's toy or something you might blow at an indoor New Year's Eve party. You know those horns with the paper tube that unrolls when you blow it, that coils back up when you stop. That's exactly what it sounds like.I can't imagine that the sound would travel very far.You might as well get a whistle from the dollar store. It's always a bad sign when next day delivery is unavailable.

It is great as a backup fog horn, for when all other fog horns run out of aerosol.I was worried if this little guy would be able to pierce boat engine noise, but so far, five short blasts on this thing gets through to any powerboat operator who has trouble with the rules of the road.Added plus: It's pretty much weather proof, and it looks really cool. Everyone who saw mine went and got one.
