Great mask, have a few different low volume masks, this is not my favorite but probably my second favorite. I have a beard so obviously your going to get some leakage around the nose, which is a small price to pay for looking so good. However I have found this mask if not sitting in the sweet spot it leaks like a sieve. But it does have a sweet spot that takes that down to a minimum, also a slap strap helps a little better than the factory strap. I still think the omer alien is king for bearded guys. Would I recommend this mask? Absolutely it's a top notch mask and I've owned so many through the years with all the latest technology. This mask def falls into my top 3 of all time. For someone with a smooth face, I bet this thing is amazing.

I've used this on dozens of snorkel and deeper scuba diving (140'). Works good. Get the film off before you use it and it's no more likely to fog up than any other mask.

This mask fogs up ALOT. I used spit, baby shampoo, mask defogger and none really worked 100%. Best I got was maybe 30 minutes of no fogging. Had issues with the seal too, water always gets in the mask after a while so I have to remove the mask or lift the bottom to drain the water out. Straps are too long for my liking but it’s really not a problem, it’s the rubber part that wraps behind the head that’s a bit annoying. The straps are thin so sometimes they’d be twisted on the back of the head and the only way to find out is by running your fingers along the strap and tracing it all the way to the back of your head. Nose area is hard, I’m able to equalize but I definitely had to pinch harder compared to my old ask.

I got this on sale for $79 which was why I pulled the trigger. They came with fingerprints on the lenses indicating someone probably tried it before me. That's part of the deal with buying masks online. You don't know if it'll work for you until you get it and they can't just throw away all the masks that people try out, so I can forgive that.Before trying, my main concern was the visibility being affected by the large nose pocket. The geometry of the nose makes it a little tough to squeeze, but it surprisingly doesn't get in the way of my sight. It also didn't make equalization unusually hard for me personally, but maybe be aware if you have a small nose.Another concern was tunnel vision. I was surprised to find that my periferal vision wasn't restricted any more than usual. Don't expect it to be completely unrestricted but my guesstimation is about 90° to 93° of left to right view.An actual annoyance for me is the super long straps. I don't strap the mask very tightly, just enough that it's held stable and comfortably positioned. There's so much slack that the takeup holders go until they hit the Y in the strap and can't go any further. It looks goofy, but I don't think you can avoid looking goofy in a mask anyway, so that's not a big deal.

I initially ordered a cressi nano mask which ended up not fitting, I have a prominent eyebrow ridge like a handsome caveman.These goggles fit awesome, and love the way they look so far I dove 20 feet in them and did not have to clear the mask. They dont fog on me, fit great, and look awesome.CONS: im not sure if the pair I purchased were truly brand new, may have had some marks on them when i received them.

Die Maske hat aufgrund der optimierten Funktion (sehr geringes Innenvolumen für Apnoetauchen) ein zugegeben seeehr eigenwilliges Design. Allerdings ist die Passform bzw. Dichtheit phänomenal gut! Sie liegt an wie eine zweite Haut, gefühlt kann man sie schon einige Millimeter vor Berührung schon mit der Nase ansaugen.Im Vergleich zur Cressi Calibro läuft sie leider etwas schneller an (diese hat um die Nase Stege, durch die die Luft für den Ausgleich besser geleitet wird). Allerdings ist sie für mich um Welten bequemer - die Cressi muss ich schon sehr tief aufsetzen, damit sie nicht auf den Knochensteg zwischen den Augenbrauen drückt. Im Wasser mit etwas Druck für mich nicht zu ertragen. Die Mares sitzt wie eine sanfte Umschmeichelung. Wäre da nicht die wirklich eigenartige Optik, gäbe es von mir eine uneingeschränkte Empfehlung. Einen Sternabzug gibt es trotzdem nicht, die Maske muss schließlich funktionieren und nicht gut aussehen.

This is a very comfortable mask. You barely need to breathe in and it seals tight to your skin. Doesn’t leak at all. I typically do hour training swims in the pool and it stays sealed, doesn’t leak or fog. Of course you have to burn and tooth paste it several times to clear the the silicone off the mask. Then just use baby shampoo to clean and as an anti fog. The strap is very comfortable and vey thin. But strong even to hold my snorkel easily. Very good vision especially bottom and beside you. The quality is excellent, , the is no extra lip inside just a smooth are around the edge that seals to your face. Also there are no reflections from in side the mask. Awesome buy.

Leaks around the nose. Had another person try and they had the same issue. Unfortunate because it seems comfortable.

Now I will admit that I have a "mask face" and have rarely found a mask that didn't fit me well enough to make a seal. This mask, however, is without a doubt the best fitting mask I have ever used. I've been spearfishing, freediving and scuba diving for more than 15 years and have tried Alot of masks. To test it out I laid on the bottom of a pool with the strap OFF my head and blew a steady stream of air out of my nose, the air evacuated from the mask around the top of the skirt and near the nose but the mask didn't leave my face. I do alot of freediving and spearfishing and I absolutely love this mask. It's very low volume so equalizing it uses less of your very valuable air. I do have to note that it does restrict your peripheral vision a bit, you will struggle to find a low volume mask that doesnt. It's the nature of the beast. If you want less volume you're going to have to live with a smaller field of view. While being low volume the glass isn't so close as to touch my eyelashes which drives me crazy with a couple of my other masks. It's also extremely comfortable. It has a smooth skirt without the 2nd inside lip that every other mask on the market has. I was a little nervous about the smooth skirt but it must be the key to this masks fitment, it is AWESOME. I don't get mask squeeze and the red ring of stupidity. I have recommended it to numerous other divers and they've had great success as well. I did wish that they offered a mirrored version but while spearfishing I prefer clear glass, if sharks come around its better for them to be able to see your eyes. If they know you see them they are less likely to come much closer. Make them feel challenged, stare them down like a confident predator and they usually shy away. If you're a freediver, give this mask a try, you won't be disappointed. I've attached a photo for reference, don't be jealous, just get out and fish!
