Item was dysfunctional. Did not work properly. I had to purchase one from another place. This was a total waste of my money & time. The video couldn't match the shower curtain rid because the rod was defective. Horrible item

I could tell by the weight of this that it was well made. It was pretty easy to adjust to the size I need as well. The matte black looks exactly like depicted too

The adjustability of this shower rod is a nice feature, although putting it together is sort of comical since there are so many pieces and steps for such a simple object. However, it's easy to do, just follow the instructions. The tension aspect of the rod, as well as the grip on the ends, are effective in keeping the rod securely in place. It's sturdy, too. I hung it with a heavy cotton waffle-weave shower curtain plus a fabric liner and metal hooks, and it hasn't budged. I even lowered it by walking it down the walls and it still held with no further adjustments. I was somewhat concerned when I saw all the pieces, worrying that multiple pieces would create ridges in the rod that would make the rings get hung up, but it's well designed to prevent that. I have no complaints and no reason to deduct any stars.

This shower curtain rod is really easy to hang up. You'll want to measure the area first and use the instructions to pick the correct pieces to assemble as every size requires different pieces that you have to connect. Stays together very well once assembled. I know you're thinking, who reads instructions for a curtain rod, and I thought so too....but I did have to pull them out. Here's you're warning!
