If you're putting in solar, the MC4 is the industry standard for watertight solar panel connections. This kit, along with a big roll of wire, and you'll get your kit done in no time. Don't forget the crimper!

This box is an excellent value for IP67 MC4 connectors and worthy of five stars. Thus far, I have only made one cable using these connectors. I solder the joints as well as use the mechanical crimping. The cable is working well for me. The plastic tools that came with this set are in my “maybe” drawer. Maybe I will use them and maybe I will throw them away. The plastic tools just do not last. I have metal MC4 tools which have always worked for me.

Each year, electricity bills rise—far faster than the average salary. My biggest fear is that one day only the wealthiest people will be able to afford it. I’m still a newbie and slowly learning, but I do know that when I have numerous solar panels on my roof, I’ll definitely end a way to connect them.This packet of solar connectors will help me to achieve my goal. This product came with numerous connectors and the hardware, and even included a thick, plastic wrench.

This is a decent connector kit. My gripe is that they come in a cheap ziplock that ripped open in shipping so the connectors and other parts where just floating around in the box. Not a huge deal, but typical packaging for inexpensive electrical connectors. I like having a bunch of these around for making new cables and fixing cables that start acting up.

What is there to say about these mc4 solar connectors? There are a bunch in this one set. All of the connector housing that I have used have been very nice made of good solid plastics. The metal contacts have all worked well. The weather seals appear to be made of silicone and the ends secure well to the connector housings. The included mc4 tools work well and I have used them on other solar connection without either of them breaking or deforming. So far I have only used around a dozen but I'm sure that as my solar panel number increases so will the need for more mc4 connectors. At that time I will be glad I have this many of them. 5 stars.
