There is no pocket to set the protective cup. I would like to look again for a pad with this specification and one that can accommodate a protective cup.

Really was impressed when I opened the package! I thought the product was durable. After one wear I seen the thread has come undone at the seams! I not sure how mumany more wears my 9th grade son will get before the seam actually opens.Disappointed that these were $80 and not as well made as I thought and heard.
