I've attached a slew of sweeps to the bottom of various doors over the years. From that experience I learned a few things. First, this style with the bristles works best. It keeps the bugs out , doesn't make a skipping noise like the vinyl sweeps do and the door opens and closes more smoothly. Second, I forget if this sweep came with double-sided adhesive tape, but I've learned to avoid using tape. Instead, I now ALWAYS screen the sweep to the door using #8 half-inch screws. This sweep is already perforated along the top to accommodate screws, which is nice... though unnecessary. Anyway, screws assure a long lasting install without ever having a disappointment down the road.
