Not true to size, not even close. Material is decent though. Buy two sizes bigger than you need.

These are nice looking swim trunks. They don't come down quite a long on my husband as they do in the product photo, and they're a tad bit skimpy looking around, imho. He is normally between a size L and XL, so I ordered XL to be safe, and I'm really glad I did, because if these were any tighter they wouldn't have fit him. Definitely size up. We got the dark blue and it looks true to the color in the photos. Price is alright (currently about $15-ish).

These shorts are well made and the material is not too soft, not too stiff. The additional pockets are helpful and stylish however I don't use them often. They are cut a bit shorter than I am used to but this is a personal preference.I will say that I usually wear an XL but these are a bit small to size so if you're between sizes, I'd go one up.

This swimsuit looks great and fits perfectly. I like that it is light weight and dries quickly so I’m not walking around with a saggy suit. The Mist Blue color is really nice. The material, stitching, and overall quality look really good. I would order from this manufacturer again.

I ordered these Men's Swim Trunks Beach Board Shorts Quick Dry Swimsuit Bathing Suits with Pockets 7 Inch Inseam Mesh Lining for my teenage son, who’s spending a big chunk of his summer at camp.My son is going to two camps this summer; one for music composition and one for opera and classical music performance. The first camp has a lake, so he needs swim trunks. He liked the look of these grey trunks and the inner mesh lining (he prefers lined trunks); he also pointed out that these didn’t have a wacky, beach-y pattern, and could probably double as a pair of shorts in a pinch.These trunks are made from 100% nylon; the woven fabric is lightweight but not stretchy. My son said they were comfortable to wear, but slightly stiff; I don’t know if they’ll soften as he wears them more, or if the nylon is just a bit stiff.The trunks have a 7” inseam and are cut like a long boxer short; they have an elasticized waistband with a working drawstring. My son usually wears 38” pants; he prefers a loose fit for comfort, and his waist is closer to 36”. The size chart showed an XXL waist measurement of 37” and an XL of 35”. I ordered him the XXL (he usually is a L or XL) and the trunks fit fine, similar to his preferred loose, oversized fit, but with a touch less extra room.These trunks are cut a bit slim to the body, particularly in the legs. They skim close to the thigh, closer to a slim cut pant than the traditional loose, baggy cut of a swim trunk. I’m glad we sized up; if he ordered his usual size L, I think they would have been tight in the thigh area.At the current price ($19.99) this is a good deal for a sturdy pair of swim trunks. As my son pointed out, they could double for shorts. You could wear them for beach volleyball, a car wash, or other activities where you might get wet, but don’t plan to swim. They’re great for swimming, and the nylon dries fairly quickly.Be aware they may run a bit slim in the thighs; check the size chart before ordering.

I am 5 ft 9 in 180 lb, and I ordered the medium. This was too small for me, as it feels tight in the waist and restricts movement a bit. The crotch bulge it also embarrassing, and it makes my butt stick out. But other than that, it seems well made, and comfortable enough to wear as regular shorts. The material is good material that won't get too hot but will dry quickly. The length is good also

As far as affordable clothing on amazon goes, these are actually pretty solid. The material feels nice, a bit stiff and plastic-y which is fine for swimming shorts imo, it has an in-lining for swimming and three pockets so you can wear them around town and have your phone/keys/wallet stowed away. The stitching is a little iffy in spots but for a $20 piece of clothing a stray thread here and there is to be expected. I like that they didn't throw some massive logo on these. I'm a fan of functional simplicity and these fit that bill perfectly. Overall the quality is solid for the price.I took away one star because without a sizing chart I had to guess at my size and these definitely run small. In fact they run very small. I am 6'5" and wear 36 waist jeans and in 99% of cases XL fits me perfectly in athletic pants and shorts. These things barely squeezed onto my legs. The size seems somewhere between a large and a medium, so definitely size up in these.Overall they're decent minimal swimming shorts for a good price, just order a size up from your usual.
