Medium sized. We're using this as a temporary nest for some rehab baby squirrels. They like it, it's nice and soft and cushiony and warm inside. I like that there is a small metal wire in the entrance that allows the opening to maintain an open shape, you can somewhat bend it down to reduce the entrance size but not by more than half. The one aspect I do not care for is that it's made with open seams inside. That is to say that the raw foam and edges of the plush material are exposed, this is a concern since small animals and even birds will pick and chew at just about anything. They can have easy and convenient access to these synthetic materials which could be very dangerous if eaten. The construction style really needs to be addressed. I will keep a close eye on this but if they begin to chew it, it will have to be thrown out. I'm taking 2 stars for this thoughtless construction for the price, it's not a great value.

This bird hut is really well made. It has a great large opening that is rigid so it doesn’t fall closed on itself. The rigid frame in the opening is a hard material but it’s not accessible so it’s completely safe. The fabric is thick and well-made. The stitching is very nice. The color is nice and bright. I feel like it’s gender neutral and would work with many different types of aviaries or cage habitats. On the inside, you have a “hard“ floor. It feels like there’s a piece of plastic on the inside of the fabric. It not extremely rigid, but it does feel water resistant so you could probably just wash the whole thing when you need to. In terms of cleaning, I’m planning on washing mine as needed. I would recommend just air drying it.It also comes with two carabiners that are easy to use and large so they’re not hard to fumble with or difficult to open and close. Personally, I find the carabiners more user-friendly than the typical clips that come with bird items.Overall, this is a really large nest hideout. The rigid frame opening is very well thought out. I’m pleased with it and would recommend.

We choose the medium size and it was bigger than expected! It was made with thick foam, and it even has a sturdy base that slips inside to give your bird extra support. We originally bought it for our cockatiels cage but its actually a little too big so we moved it to our quaker parrots cage so it wont take up as much room since his cage is bigger. If you have a wide cage id definitely say go bigger, if not go smaller. Either way its made well and looks very warm and comfortable for my birdies! :)

I got the medium for my 2 budgies but it's actually pretty large. Comes with 2 carabiners to hang it from which is nice because it allows you to clamp it to a variety of places within the cage. Has a rigid bottom that lays down to help keep it's shape. I feel like there's a lot of loose fuzz coming off of it though. It's been about a week now and my budgies won't use it but that might just be because they're picky.

Great item well constructed, but my parakeets didn’t like it, and I had to end up sending it back

This is designed quite well with the plastic insert on the bottom and the wire inside the entry to keep shape. That's the biggest problem with these kind of hanging hammocks, they never keep shape, but I think this will work out great. The piece that holds the carabiner clips is pretty sturdy/thick stretchy fabric (but not too stretchy, and I'm not sure fabric is the right name for it), which is great, because for some reason pets always want to chew it and then it's useless unless you DIY it. They provide pretty big and sturdy carabiner clips to hang this inside the cage, which is awesome, no cheap flimsy clips like usual with these kinds of products. I personally don't care for the color or pattern, but it doesn't matter, and the pets don't care either lol. It seems very comfortable. I know this is advertised for birds, but I got it for my pet rats, and I'm sure they're going to love it. Well, they'll love it until they chew the crap out of it and destroy it lol.

My Green Cheeked Conure sleeps in a fleece bed I made for her years ago and I haven’t gotten around to making her a new one. The old one is seriously loved and gnawed on, and she sleeps in it every night. She deserved a replacement so I decided to get a new bed. This one is lovely, plush and comfortable looking. It does come with a removable base with a thin felt-like fabric over cardboard that I know she will shred in a week, but she will enjoy that and the bed doesn’t really need a liner. It is easy to hang using the sturdy sewn in loops.I do recommend changing out the provided C-clips for bird-safe C-links so your bird doesn’t get a foot or tongue pinched in the sharp clips. As expected she is not happy with a new toy in her cage, but she will warm up to in a few days as she does with any new toy.
